History is a gallery of pictures in which there are few originals and many copies. / ~ Alexis de Tocqueville / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / In this image I was hoping to capture the essence of the small outback community of Silverton that is so typically Australian. Not only were the Mad Max movies made there and numerous other movies and advertisements, it is a town full of history and wonderful eccentric artists. This is Peter Brown’s gallery perched on top of a barren hillside as you drive into town. His emu caricatures are a delight! / -—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / Thank you to everyone in Redbubbles Outback Australia group for voting Open for Business in the top ten of their competition.

Composite of multiple images of a derelick site in Eastern Washington. I wanted to use the images in some way, but it wasn’t until a model from ModelMeyhem offered to let me use this pic in one of my ‘creations’ that it came together. The descrepancy between her dress and manner….and the background just seemed to work to suggest an amusing anecdote…..Plus I love her posture….Thanks to Laura W for her image…...

Sometimes those days come where your like… I really should take a photo of this shouldn’t I? So I walked across to the road from the bus stop where I was waiting to be picked up. Seeing the sunset through the 80-200 peaked me out. I shot until the card was full and this is the first of 3 images… The special things in this shot 1. If you look closely at the sun it’s setting behind a building and the 2 towers actually make the sun look like it has horns. 2. The guy riding his bike past just at that moment… 3. The stop light and rich colour in the frame.
