  • When Home was Home
    by Tim Denny

    US$3.28–US$87.40

Taken at Brush Arbor, Kentucky / The buildings were under construction, I met the owner who never met me, he gave me the right to photograph his buildings while he left for an important meeting. Now that is putting trust in a person. I had a field day photographing with no one around, but me, my wife and our dog.

  • The Blue City II
    by Damienne Bingham

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Chefchaouen is a city in northwest Morocco. It is the chief town of the province of the same name. Chefchaouen is situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471, as a small fortress which still exists to this day, by Moorish exiles from Spain to fight the Portuguese invasions of northern Morocco. It was known as one of the main concentrations of Moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times. In 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco. They returned the city after the independence of Morocco in 1956. The name ‘Chefchaouen’ refers to the shapes of the mountain tops that tower over the town, that look like the two horns (chaoua) of a goat. It literally means “look at the horns”. The blue-rinsed houses and buildings, are a tradition that comes from the town’s former Jewish population. by Mark Richards

An old derelict house with vibrant blue painted door and window frame. Photographed using HDR.

  • Colorful Home
    by Alessandro Pinto

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Cartagena de India , Colombia / One of the many colorful building in the beautiful, colonial city of Cartagena, on the Caribbean coast of Colombia !

  • A (I believe) typical house on the Greek island Santorini. It is a ‘tuned’ version of this according to suggestions in the For Critique forum.

  • I thought this would be a nice card to illustrate the old cliche, “A woman’s work is never done,” and to honor women everywhere who work hard at home, on the job, within the family circle, in the community, in the church, in public service. This energetic little Eastern bluebird female exemplifies an honorable work ethic in her diligence at nest-building. (Note the bedraggled look of poor little Mama’s feathers; temperatures were in the 90s and she was really feeling the heat and humidity! Just about the same concept as a housewife sweating over the stove or the ironing board!)

  • Leaving Home 4 good.....
    by ImagesFX

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Composite of multiple images of a derelick site in Eastern Washington. I wanted to use the images in some way, but it wasn’t until a model from ModelMeyhem offered to let me use this pic in one of my ‘creations’ that it came together. The descrepancy between her dress and manner….and the background just seemed to work to suggest an amusing anecdote…..Plus I love her posture….Thanks to Laura W for her image…...

  • The sun sets on us all
    by lightsmith

    US$5.70–US$152.00

The sun sets on this old house, in more ways than one. I believe it shall soon be no more, it’s life given for a a new housing estate. No-one lives there now, but soon there’ll be hundreds of little blocks with little houses and not-so-little morgages!

  • Never Surrender
    by Joanne A. Bradley

    US$3.99–US$106.40

This old homestead in the Muskoka region of Ontario, refuses to surrender to the elements. “Under none of the accredited ghostly circumstances, and environed by none of the conventional ghostly surroundings, did I first make acquaintance with the house. I saw it in the daylight, with the sun upon it. There was no wind, no rain, no lightning, no thunder, no awful or unwonted circumstance, of any kind, to heighten its effect.”~Charles Dickens

  • The Way Home 01
    by Andrew Maccoll

    US$5.13–US$136.80

Sometimes those days come where your like… I really should take a photo of this shouldn’t I? So I walked across to the road from the bus stop where I was waiting to be picked up. Seeing the sunset through the 80-200 peaked me out. I shot until the card was full and this is the first of 3 images… The special things in this shot 1. If you look closely at the sun it’s setting behind a building and the 2 towers actually make the sun look like it has horns. 2. The guy riding his bike past just at that moment… 3. The stop light and rich colour in the frame.

  • Colors of Autumn
    by Kevin Kroeker

    US$3.70–US$98.80

This colorful home sits high atop the cliffs of the St. John’s Harbour. It has an amazing view of the harbour and skyline of St. John’s. I was just walking by it one day (having seen it many times before) and it’s colorfulness just struck me. So I thought I definetly needed to photograph it. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /
