The great thing about this photo is that you can go for the natural http://www.redbubble.com/people/khosie/art/133430-enlightenment or the souped up view that is here.. If I was an up myself photographer I would say the image was completely intentional… ;op Because I can’t lie to save myself…. :o) Here are the facts. I have had Photoshop for 2 days. I have had a 20 minute lesson in photoshop and I bought a magazine that gave some tips on photoshop. (And not right may I suggest… can’t believe I am a novice and I worked out that they hadn’t given the right instructions!!) So yes, for all you gurus out there you will have a good giggle. For all the novices, you will understand my joy at turning out this pic!! Ayutthaya… as per the other pics in my portfolio… can categorically say I am not re-inventing the wheel here… saw something similar like this on a postcard and loved it! So grab the kindness in your soul and please feel free to mockingly praise my naive enjoyment of having managed to do something in Photoshop!!! Sometimes photography is about ego… this time it’s just about feeling bloody pleased that I got past File… Open!!!
Techno Buddha – Homage to Nam June Paik by no frills art. Also available in white here
This artwork is not only a fusion of our styles, but also a fusion of our deep rooted traditions, values, and cultures of our country. it is a reflection of our surrounding, of what we preach, of what we have. both countries, China and India are very traditional and rich cultural countries. you will see here a fusion of elements from the way they approach to god, and the way we do, making it more beautiful and also spreading a message, that no matter where in the world we are , our god, blood, religion, faith and culture all are equal. collab with ms.chen
This is one of the main temples in Vang Vien, Laos. The temple buildings are beautifully ornate and the surrounding garden is peaceful. On this day however, a number of the monks were busy conducting repairs on the building and, the younger ones especially, were scouting in and out of the windows and up and down the ladder as part of their work. They held a group of us captivated, cameras in hand, with their cheeky expression and playful teasing. I loved the strong contrast of the orange robe against the pink building – I think the colours capture the playfulness of the atmosphere even more than the monk’s expression in this case.
A cheeky, young Cambodian boy looks down through a floor. The house was on stilts and I had to lie down on the ground and shoot upwards to get this picture.

Oil on canvas 24” X 24”. Completed April 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “All living beings have the Buddha nature and can become Buddhas” / – Buddha Buddha Within illustrates the story of personal awakening. My understanding of the personal awakening process is that when undergoing the final awakening stage, the kundalini (rainbow serpent) becomes an intense fire (red/orange beside the tree trunk) shooting through the spine engulfing the body. The energy (green vortexes) required is enormous. As the kundalini reaches the crown chakra, it fully opens and all earthly limitations drop away. This being is no longer tied to a religion or faith but now embraces them all as represented by the sacred symbols in the tree. The consciousness now resides in the higher self and is one with the universe and all that is. When the transformation is complete sonic waves (the four vertical crystalline waves) travel out into the universe to let all of creation know of the grace that has taken place. All life is naturally drawn to the radiant and divine being that has become pure Buddha consciousness (centre). At each of the chakra points on the Buddha is a Swarovsky crystal in the relevant chakra colour. Crystal magnifies the properties of the chakra energy. / Buddha Within is divided into four quadrants (earth, fire, water, air) and the five elements including precious metals (bottom corners). The red veins dividing the quadrants represent the lower dimension (inner earth). The higher dimension is represented by the white equilateral triangle. If you look closely, you can see the texture of the underlying branches in the tree. These were meticulous painted before adding the covering of leaves. The tree must be complete in the physical, in order to emit the complete energy of the life form. Imbibed in the painting is sand from a sand mandala created by Gyuto Monks. They had spent a week painstakingly building an exquisite sand mandala. Upon its completion the mandala was ceremonially deconstructed and the sand poured into the local river for healing, accompanied by prayer and the blasting of Tibetan ceremonial horns. Some of the sand is held back and distributed to those who attend the ceremony: it holds sacred healing properties. I used some of the sand from this mandala, mixing it in the purple paint used for the crown charka encircling the white triangle and Buddha. Buddha Within is the third in a series and preceded by The Dream and The Awakening.

FROM WIKIPEDIA / Meditation is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive, “thinking” mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness. Meditation often involves turning attention to a single point of reference. It is recognized as a component of many religions, and has been practiced since antiquity. It is also practiced outside religious traditions. Different meditative disciplines encompass a wide range of spiritual and/or psychophysical practices which may emphasize different goals—from achievement of a higher state of consciousness, to greater focus, creativity or self-awareness, or simply a more relaxed and peaceful frame of mind. Giving this sense of relaxation and peace, meditation ultimately leads people to find peace within themselves. FROM BUDDHA SERIES: / MEDITATION / / BUDDHA / / / OHM / / / NIRVANA / ILLUMINATION /
