The blooms on this lovely plant soak up some spring sunshine. I thinks its clivia. Remember tho this is scotland… I brought this houseplant into a (so far this year unused) ‘summerhouse’ during a sunny interval , but my model and I had to soon dash for cover to avoid frost damage…. :)) Taken with a pocket fuji finepix A500 See also our turn soon.. I found it hard to choose between these 2 images so any comments and tips most welcome ..anyhow it makes a change from rotten apples – my last macro.. :)

This Rose Bud waiting to open up for the world to see, was in the garden at the Swan Inn, at the back of Dawlish. / It had a leaf directly above it, like a roof protecting it from the rain, but also shadowing the poor thing. The moonlight was shining through my front porch window as I gave my miniature roses a ‘bedtime shower’, and the light was beautifully highlighting certain areas, while silhouetting other parts of the rose buds. Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. Best Viewed Large.

Swan Island Dahlia in Canby, Oregon. They are about 2 miles from my home and I spend most of my August there. The best part is everyone has dahlia’s and can be photographed very easily. I even have about 7 or 8 varieties in my own yard.
