During a relatively peaceful 2002 protest against the World Bank in Washington, D.C., anti-war demonstrators began to change the situational climate of the march. Tensions between protesters and police, who were expecting a violent demonstration, started to rise. Police began to arrest everyone that they managed to surround inside Pershing Park, guilty, as well as innocent bystanders alike. These demonstrators were pulled from the crowd, handcuffed and thrown on an awaiting Metro bus. No one was read their rights as bystanders looked on in horror. Pershing Park, Washington D.C. Two very old dolls tied together with barbed wire, laid on a bed of stones, bones and tarot cards. Shot RAW with an Olympus E500 and a 14-45 lens, on a tripod, two daylight balanced hot studio lights. Developed in Olympus Studio, mostly to give it a yellowish tone, saved as a 16 bit TIFF for to process with Photoshop and OnOne Photoframe. Everybody needs a hobby . . . I have to get rid of the Photoframe effect. I apologize. I’m not normally so slovenly; I understand that canned effects suck. I shall rework this with a print and a brush. I suppose there comes a moment. Nothing new, time to get the old up to a standard I wish to have. Then remove what can’t fulfill what I want my work to fulfill. Change is a demon . . . but that’s life.
Just playing with a bone I have laying around. Olympus E500, 45mm lens, 1 tripod, 2 daylight balanced hot studio lights, (and a partridge in a pear tree?) shot RAW then developed with Olympus Studio. Saved as a TIFF and imported into Photoshop CS3 for some curve adjustments, cropping and whatnot. Perhaps a teensy bit influenced by Cornell. I really should find something constructive to do with my free time, shouldn’t I? Anyway, I have a whole panoply of objects to deal with in this manner; I have a box of tools 200 years old, corroded metal and bone and lots of attitude. I mean, I’m 52 years old, can’t I piss off anyone before I die? Texture mapped on a separate layer and then OnOne PhotoFramed for that NIN look. (Actually, this has been changed. I got sick of the crappy canned effect look and started building my own edge effects.) One more for the good people who accept no fucking rules. Now I AM going to bed. My girlfriend has the flu and I ain’t getting laid anyway.
Stay br00tal.
©Seth F.Weaver,Sr. A Compullage™ work. She was fragile and he was a boasting brute. She spoke once to often and the abuse began again and again. She knew it was wrong but thought she deserved it. She didn’t. He left but he’d be back to do it all over again. Somebody please stop him she’d pray each night as she lay broken and bleeding. She had heard those whispering out in the hall about the murders in White Castle. He just had a lousy temper, surely he wasn’t the Ripper. /

I reckon this actually exists. At least in NSW. Here’s an example from my own suburb.
During a relatively peaceful 2002 protest against the World Bank in Washington, D.C., anti-war demonstrators began to change the situational climate of the march. Tensions between protesters and police, who were expecting a violent demonstration, began to rise. Police began to arrest everyone that they managed to surround inside Pershing Park, guilty, as well as innocent bystanders alike. In relative anticipation of the police’s reaction, these young protesters brought bandannas to not only hide their identities, but to shield them from pepper spray and CS gas. A deadly booby trap set by the Yhengh. Ther is a lighter version that works on Air Pressure known as a Pnematic Punj. These are light enough to be used as a melee weapon if the need arises. The Hydraulic Punji’s big brother is the Hydro-Pneumatic Punji, Which can penetrate the underside of an Armoured Car. This pit would be covered with a Molecular Scan Proof Mat and then lightly coated in local foliage. Hydraulic Punjis are Proximity Triggered and continue to retract and discharge for about thirty seconds after initiation. . / Drawn With Bryce 5.5 & Artweaver 0.5.7. Feb 2009.

One of the reasons I like London so much, is its nutty diversity. You can’t turn a corner without encountering another style, another culture, another influence. To understand London you need to look beyond Big Ben, red telephone boxes and the 10 Downing Street door, and look for the less obvious and perhaps less attractive sides of the town. This diversity is nowhere more evident, than London’s architecture. Take for example this monolithic concrete monstrosity: It is none other than the Royal National Theater building in South Bank, close to Waterloo station. A prime example of 1970’s architecture it was designed by Sir Denys Lasdun. A statement of it’s time and a recognised architectural masterpiece, perhaps… But what I find fascinating, is that it’s literally around the corner from this: How much more diverse can you get, in so little space? Apologies to Billy Corrigan for the title. If he wasn’t so talented I wouldn’t need to steal words from him . . . This is another one of those troubling moments in imagery; it should not have been like this, but a slip of the mouse in Photoshop “curves” and directions change. Shot slightly before noon, so it’s obviously been fucked with. Olympus E510, 14-45 lens at 14mm, IS on, ISO 200 and three shots with exposure compensation at 1 EV; this is the one the camera would have picked as normal. I believe I like it. Traditionally, a “masterpiece” was a work that confirmed your mastery of your art. The meaning has been warped over time, but it’s apprentice, journeyman, then master. This might be close. I need to turn it to the wall for 6 months and decide then with a neutral eye. But possibly a new direction here; that it’s not filtered and graphically strong is appealing to me, with reservations. (God help me, I’m NOT a purist.) This has also been processed with OnOne Genuine Fractals, a truly amazing piece of software. (Not for any effect; just so that I could get a huge print for a show coming up.) I’m flighty, and pursue things based on feelings but . . . this is interesting, at least to me. I’d like to hear why it sucks. Please tell me what’s wrong. I may not agree with you, but I’ll listen.

The title simply and very loosely translated means “slump,” or “fallen.” / This tree was off to the side of the trail that we were hiking while in Norh Carolina this past week. This was probably one of the hottest most humid days I experienced while we were there. In the shade of the forest canopy, it was stifling!! Finally when we reached the lake did we get a reprieve with a breeze!! / / Thank you for viewing my work!!! If you like what you see here, have a peek at the rest of my work. Zandvoort, The Netherlands and so they decided to build a set of concrete apartments on the seafront. That was in the 1960’s and so they created something harsh (like a shopping precinct). Canon EOS400D / 1/3200sec / f/4.0 / ISO200 / As-is /
I’m not quite sure how to describe this. It’s an externalization of what I feel stuck in a society that thinks Sarah Palin has an I.Q. larger than her bra size and that “W” was good for the country. B.T.W.: This hurt. Wrapping your head in barbed wire and pulling it tight (even special FX wire) isn’t something I’d recommend on a date night. I’m contemplating making it a series. This isn’t bad, but a bit too slick . . . (I am, unfortunately, somewhat facile.) maybe more wire visibly poking into the eyes and pulling the mouth open; maybe more “realism” than “expressionism”. Something a little more subtle and not so open that you can get it at a glance. I’m guilty of using Francis Bacon as a guiding light . . . a person who said something about the times he lived within. Agony at what is, comment upon what could be and a desire to change what we are and what we could become freed from the Mullahs and Mega-Church monsters. (My, how alliterative. I must try Cosmo as a market.) Something added: I’m too slick. That’s a bad thing. Anyway, that and a buck will get you a cup of tea.
No it ain’t glass. But it is a view through a glass, darkly. (Lenses are glass, or at least molded polycarbonate.) And I’m repeatedly told I’m a dark person, usually by guys who don’t want me near their daughters. So, the humorous intro aside: Scratched metal plate found in a garage. I suppose I envision it printed on canvas; but . . . . I swore I’d never get involved in art again, and here I am, doing stupid shit once more. I thought a camera could keep me away from this stuff. Oddly enough, I was trained as a painter and gave it up because I could make money with a camera. This may have been done with a camera, but . . . this is a painting. You can resist your nature, but it has a way of sneaking up on you, doesn’t it just? I’m quite good at fooling myself. I think I shall get a tattoo of the fool to cover my Harley Davidson one. This’ll be a triptych at my love’s request; A Glass Darkly on the left, Stations of the Cross in the center and Discordia on the right. I’m still debating the method of display. I’m leaning towards printing it on canvas, fraying the edges and nailing it to the wall, or at least hanging it in traditional Japanese fashion. My female would prefer more framelike boundaries and techniques of presentation. We’ll see. Women have subtle ways of getting what they desire out of men, but I may hold out on this one. While they aren’t all on here, I now have enough stylistically consistent work for a one man show. Got any galleries to throw my way?
