Rock wall at Bruny Island digitally treated
Been in the south of Tassie for four days shooting stills for a client. Me the Creative Director with Andrew the Art Director and Garth the professional photographer. We had to climb down a 100 metre cliff face, normally out of bounds but opened to us by the kind lighthouse keeper. Was a seriously hairy climb! But it led us to an untouched, pristine and rarely shot location (which will remain our secret :). This is a photo I took whilst Garth and Andrew sat on a rocky outcrop waiting for the light to be perfect. – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Black & white photography – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Monotone photography
Two artists sit on a rocky outcrop waiting for the world, earth, universe to do it’s thing. Magic. Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania, Australia

A beautiful day at Mabel Bay, Bruny Island
I got quite wet about 5 seconds after I took this shot. You can see the wind whipping across the water on the right.
Soon after dawn after a big storm the night before at South Bruny Island lighthouse. South Bruny Island is on island off the SE coast of Tasmania in Australia. / Taken with canon 5D, Canon 70-200 zoom lens.
Taken on Bruny Island off the East Coast in Southern Tasmania looking back towards Tasmania’s coastline.
Here’s a shot of a cave in the side of the cliffs along Bruny Island, Tasmania. The dolerite cliffs dominate the coastline of Tasmania and are quite a magnificent sight to see.
Taken at Coal point on Bruny Island as the sun rises up over Grass Point and Penguin Island. They are islands off Tasmania
This is a re-work and replacement of a shot with some stronger colours. Felt it needed a boost.
The swell on the sea this day was tremendous. We were bobbed around on our jet boat as though we were an irritation to the violence of movement. / The power of the sea made me feel very insignificant….one small hole in the hull and we would be in big trouble indeed! / I only used a small aim and shoot camera…Canon PowerShot A 550. But I reckon it takes pretty good images for a cheapie.
Taken from Oyster Cove, Tasmania, Australia. Looking towards Bruny Island. Canon 5DMkII, 0.6 secs, f11, ISO 100, 25mm.
“Sitting here in the grey half-light you get the sense that this land is timeless, that it will continue on long after me, us, everyone” Testing my new lense (Sigma 10-20mm) at Cloudy Bay, Tasmania on dusk. The rain was starting to set in but it was worth getting wet :)
