The exquisitely fragrant blooms of Brunfelsia fade as they age – thus the wonderful poetic name “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”. Texture by Bea Pierce.
This is yesterday, from ‘yesterday, today and tomorrow’. A single, newly opened bloom on my brunfelsia. It will fade through pale mauve/blue to white over the next 3 days, so there are three colours on the one shrub.
A lovely white tropical plant whose blossoms form directly on the stem rather than its branches. It’s blooming right now with the most beautiful fragrance!
This plant is also known as “Kiss me Quick” because on the first day the flowers are purple, the second day they are mauve and the third day white. / I have had this plant growing in my hothouse for a number of years as they are very front tender.
