This was a very lucky shot. We had come across one group of these beautiful creatures near Yarrangobilly in Kosciusko National Park just after sunrise only to miss the shot because the camera wasn’t attached to the tripod. I was quite disappointed as you don’t see brumbies everyday and this was the first time I had ever seen them. A bit later on we were driving down a dirt road just past Kiandra in the snowy mountains looking for one of the old huts, when my daughter yelled at me to look at up, and there on the hill beside us were these three. I managed to roll my car down a bit to see more of them and got this one shot out of the car window before they ran off.

This is near my twin brother’s place in Colorado, USA. It’s so wild west I love it!

Picture was taken on the weekend of 24-25 June 06 in an area called “Dead Horse Gap” near an alpine resort of Thredbo, Australia. It is on one the high peak. There were a bit of snow but not enough to cover the grass yet. Wild horse roam this area. You can see their footprints in the photo.
