Khepera, one of the earliest ancient Egyptian deities, was said to have given birth to many of the other Egyptian gods and goddesses himself by copulating with his own shadow! / Original was done in watercolor and gouache media on Arches cold-press 180lb. paper, 2007.

Two of our pups, who have since gone to new homes but this is one of my favorite shots of the pups. We had our last litter born last night and we only had one survive. So I started going through all our litters and playing with photos taken.
