This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. A portrait of my boyfriend and some bark,double layers. / That image was edited in the book “Gaïa the living planet” Same processing as Torn / When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet. / My friend C.C Arshagra wrote a wonderful poem inspired by this image,C.C realy understood what I felt when I named that piece. / That poem is called The Free Thinker would.. /

I finally got to paint this from my digital manipulation, Don’t Give Up Searching . I’m so pleased with the result. I used a few different textures and oil paint and made the eye brown rather then blue so that the image was unified in pallet to suit a college project so that I could paint this particular piece without abandoning duty.

This one is some what experimental.. Wasn’t sure where I was heading with it but it does represent one of the simplest plants we know.. Wheat….It’s so simple and has been a staple food, well, forever! This image represents it’s timeless quality.

Okay well this morning I felt the urge to get out and finally take some new pics and the first thing that caught my eye was a bunch of dandelions that were starting to break apart.. However I didn’t feel like just taking a plain shot of a dandelion, I felt like doing something a tad more artistic, so today I have a series of three dandelion shots that I have processed in an artistic way to break free of the standard flower macro bounds.. I am open to all feedback because I will only keep shots uploaded that people think are worth being on the sight.. Thanks for having a look! This would have to be the least artistic shot of this morning, as the only real major treatment here was implementing a monochromatic filter and then a sepia filter over the top of that.. As per usual the exposure, contrast and levels were played with to bring the image to what I believed worked best.. / I liked this image as it seemed to “pop” and it looks almost as though the dandelion is lurching forward in an attempt to break free from its flowers. I think that this shot and Season’s End both really captured the moment that the dandelion begins to lose its flowers and disappear from existence.
