This is a mixer from the now abandoned Tyne Brewery, but to me i always think it looks a bit more like a plough or some kind of evil tortue device.

Featured in Urban Wildlife March 1, 2009. A common raccoon curiously walking straight at my camera wondering what I had. I actually had strangers yelling at me to get up and walk away because he was getting a little to close, but I just had to stay and take his pic! This photo was captured from the parking lot of the Floral Clock in niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

This beautiful and much loved puppy was having morning tea at Urban Grind coffee shop with his ‘mum’ Alois, so I asked if I could take some photos. both his ‘parents’ and I are thrilled with the results. They have also given me permission to upload these photos, provided I share my ‘millions’ in profits with them. I think that is fair! I hope they enjoy these photos as much as I do. Thank you Alois and Noel! / I edited the background in photoshop to enhance the portrait. I used the smudge tool, reduced to 1 pixel and with the photo enlarged up to 200% to flick the hairs out on the sides of his ears, face and neck so that it didn’t have the sharp cut off edge that is usual with a background removal. taken with my canon 40DSLR macro lens on a manual settingff edge that is usual with a background removal. taken with my canon 40DSLR macro lens on a manual setting / fstop 5.6 / exposure 1/200 sec / focal length 100mm / Automatic white balance
