I started a log in the fireplace .. should warm us up a bit … anything to drink? ... please be comfortable … I rarely get company nowadays … people are beginning to think I’m becoming a recluse .. lol … I think they just don’t like coming out here .. too far off the beaten path …..... a little music? good … ah let’s see … how about Sergei Rachmaninoff playing his 2nd piano concerto in c minor ... so very nice for a night like this …. oh it’s his recording with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra … think it was directed by Leopold Stokowski … you remember him don’t you? he was oh how would you say .. oh so theatrical and bit of a renegade … I so loved to watch him wave his hands around lol … and I so love this concerto … I choose it on purpose .. you must know that .. yes? ah yes … yes it was .. we went together .. oh what an elegant pair we made .. or so we thought lol …. ah it seems just like yesterday .. the years certainly have flown by …. do you remember how when we met Sergei after the concert .. how he went on and on about feeling and creating from the heart? he was so passionate about his work … not like Prokofiev … remember what Sergei said of Prokofiev? lol … he does not exalt .. he broods … lol ….... all that and with that delightful Russian accent ….... what a night that was ….. where did we go after that? I can’t seem to remember …. we did? over to Dottie’s? oh yes now I remember … that god awful boring party of hers … bunch of stuffed shirts .. lol … Mr. and Mrs. Roger Higgersfeld …. oh my yes I remember now .. the old baffoon … keep talking on and on and on about politics and to the point that even Sir Jeffrey was beginning to yawn … wonder what ever happened to him … last I heard he was off to Bavaria or some such place … another drink? could you put another log on the fire for me please … it is quite chilly out tonite …. here’s your drink, deary … ah yes that really was a great concert … yes listening to it does bring back so many memories …. listen … the theme is played here again … there is a yearning yes? ... oh yes I so agree .. there is hope too … and when all else fails there is always hope … / . / — / . / suggest if you’ve read this far that you read all the comments and my replies … you’ll find out what happened to Sir Jeffrey and what the shawl was designed after (big smile) .. and who know what other tidbits you might find (grin) / . / This is the another in a series of Shawls I’ve been working on with stories to go along with these images like this mini story (big smile) ... no critique asked for .. it’s not perfect but I hope it pleases you while you listen to the music and view my work (big smile) Work done in PaintShopPro and Gimp. • Surrealistic Digital Art / / 1st place in the In Another World…. group – Circles Challenge. / / / / Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Insight into my work / / / Even when we are living in the present we try and analyze everything with reference to the past and when we plan or think about the future we use past as a background for all our projections. We are here we want to be there – we always think with the past in mind. Even when we try to understand something new we try to refer it to past theories, facts, formula and then try to put meaning to the new experience. And this is where we become blind to new ideas, concepts, theories etc. / / / MCN:CVTGD-2VTX5-WQM11 © Imber 2009. • I don’t have the words to say how I feel about all the horrors of the bushfires in Victoria that have been and are still being afflicted not only on the people who live there but also the animals except that my heart aches and sometimes I can’t stop the tears in my eyes from falling … especially especially for all the animals who lived there that had no chance to escape … when I designed this fractal what I saw were koalas rising above the devastation below … there must be a heaven for these poor creatures .. little angel koalas … please please open your heart and do whatever you can to help our animal cousins —Wildlife-Appeal Profile —Wildlife-Appeal RB Group —Wildlife-Appeal Bubblesite —- All profits from the sale of this work will be donated to Wildlife Appeal. —- work done in Sterling2 with post work in PaintShopPro and Gimp. • It’s been almost a lifetime since I’ve last visited the Caves of Charish yet I remember them as easily as yesterday. They are quite known in some circles .. travelers of far flung planets of origin we be … but all drawn to the mysteries of those deep corridors in the planet Charish …oh you say you never heard of them … I didn’t expect you too .. it’s been kept secret more out of necessity than any other purpose .. many who visited have never returned … those who have prefer not to speak of them … and you may wonder why I’m telling you at this time in this place … well my friend, I hear you’re on your way to see the Emotans of Nartan … and I’m sure you will hear of the caves from them .. they have heard all the stories and as you know they feel it’s their duty for are they not the Stotytellers! .... I have little time so I will make this quick .. wish I had more but .. well it is what it is … remember this if nothing else .. when you visit the Caves of Charish and I know you will, do not accept the help of the one who guards the stone … oh my I have no more time to explain .. just remember do not accept his help …... I must fly now take care and see me after you come back ….. if you come back ….. This is a 3rd generation collaboration with syd baker ... It all started with my fractal work Green Water Pond which syd took and mutated into three landscapes using Bryce and Vue: Greenwater 01 / Greenwater 02 / Greenwater 03 Then syd shared them with me and this is the first of five I’ve derived from them. The other four can be found here: 1. They Stand and Watch / 2. The Owl Tapestry / 4. Memories of Charish / 5: Deep Earth Work done in Gimp and PaintShopPro. Best viewed large. colab-pnc-9-090524-31

  • Many years after I took the first photos of the strange rock formations we returned. I brought a long a new camera that took incredible 360 degree photos … in this one we were looking straight up the wall of another huge canyon … very deep and narrow .. Another collaboration with syd baker from his work And Let There Be Light 03: Owlspook Fractal I always have a lot of fun playing back and forth with syd … he takes one of my images and creates a 3d landscape or two or three and then I take them and see what I can do with them (big smile) here I decided to do a polar panorama and I really like how it turned out (smile) also available as Tshirt colab-C-NC-09-15-090717-33
