Some old weeds with the sun shining through and a beautiful blue sky with fluffy white clouds as the backdrop

These two ears of wheat appeared in my garden by chance. Instead of pulling them out as a weed I have enjoyed watching them grow.
This isn’t one of the flowers from my show. Can you imagine seeing this on the ground and wondering what the heck this is? Today was a real crazy day for tiny things! / I wonder how many times I walked past a small flower that was too small to see and then on my knees photographing another flower and this wonder pops up! / Its not anything you would see if not for the other flowers it was planted around. / Its a real wonder ! / Anyway enjoy.
Okay I think after this there will be only two more =o) Have already started putting the calendar together…probably going to use deviant art and lulu.com as an outlet – i so wish the bubble had calendars available to the public!

Mrs. Wren decided she liked the hanging basket on my patio and made a nest in my mandevilla plant. She won’t be too happy when watering time comes, though! Hope we can find a way to satisfy her needs and the needs of the plant! She gave me this “No Trespassing” look when I photographed her, but I wonder who’s really doing the trespassing!

There are many varieties of Bromeliads with different flowers and foliage markings. I don’t know the name of this one captured using the Macro mode. The contrast of the actual flower and leaf is untouched but contrasts in the background were altered by the processing. It was processed in Paint Shop Pro where I applied a Gaussian Blur [ just to the background ] to further highlight the depth of field. Greyscale and Sepia layers were added to produce a coloured version of Selective Colouring, instead of the usual black and white background.
