  • I finally got to paint this from my digital manipulation, Don’t Give Up Searching . I’m so pleased with the result. I used a few different textures and oil paint and made the eye brown rather then blue so that the image was unified in pallet to suit a college project so that I could paint this particular piece without abandoning duty. / UPDATE- / In 2008 this painting was STOLEN. / It was being displayed in Bentley Pines Restaurant with a group of other art from fellow students. toward the end of the year the restaurant went though refurbishments and stored the works in a disabled toilets :/ we were asked to collect the work but this painting had already gone before it could be collected. Ive contacted all the people in charge and been forwarded around like a telstra customer on hold and still haven’t gotten it back. :(

  • “Love me tender, such my Love / Love with all your might / Touch me tender, such my Love / Love me through the night.” / – Leni Kae An attraction to this piece tells of your desire for an intellectual connection with a partner. For the most part, intellectual stimulation is a prerequisite for attraction; and for the sensuality and passion that follows. It is when you meet your match in intellect that you are likely most comfortable and grounded. It also tells of the need for self-love, emracing all qualities within the self, in order to receive the love that you deserve. This is the original work of Leni Kae (dip Colour Therapy), Copyright 2008 all rights reserved. Permission is required for use of this image. Original work is oil on canvas with wooden frame, 38 (w) x 92cm (h) from the collection titled ‘Something New”, and has been sold to a private collector. Leni Kae is an artist and Colour Therapist whose work is designed with colours and form that prompt neurological triggers to promote liberation. • Well this is my favorite photograph taken at the holy beach of somnath,Gujrat in India. Very early morning I was taking the photograph of sea & fortunately I caught a gentleman praying to sea & sun. That person really added life to this photograph.

  • I adore Lisianthus…..they are such a romantic flower, and they last for ages.

  • I was thinking about if the Neapolitan ice cream flavours of strawberry, vanilla and chocolate were characters and came up with this picture. Strawberry is girly, Vanilla is happy and Choc looks tough but a really big melting softy!

  • I know I do :)

  • Two seagull feathers, each of equal importance.

  • This is a re-work of my Scruffy picture I took of her 3 days after I found her abandoned on the “campo” scared and alone. Nikon D40 18-55mm I think she must have been thrown out at night as she is terrified of going into our back garden at night (our spotlight is broken!) and just cowers on the grass in fear and refuses to go to the toilet! Anyway whilst RB was down the other day I did a bit of playing on PSP and this was one of the images I played with!!! TEXTURE /

Forgetfulness / by Billy Collins / / The name of the author is the first to go / followed obediently by the title, the plot, / the heartbreaking conclusion, the entire novel / which suddenly becomes one you have never read, / never even heard of, as if, one by one, the memories you used to harbor / decided to retire to the southern hemisphere of the brain, / to a little fishing village where there are no phones. Long ago you kissed the names of the nine Muses goodbye / and watched the quadratic equation pack its bag, / and even now as you memorize the order of the planets, something else is slipping away, a state flower perhaps, / the address of an uncle, the capital of Paraguay. Whatever it is you are struggling to remember / it is not poised on the tip of your tongue, / not even lurking in some obscure corner of your spleen. It has floated away down a dark mythological river / whose name begins with an L as far as you can recall, / well on your own way to oblivion where you will join those / who have even forgotten how to swim and how to ride a bicycle. No wonder you rise in the middle of the night / to look up the date of a famous battle in a book on war. / No wonder the moon in the window seems to have drifted / out of a love poem that you used to know by heart. Inspired by Music ~ Alan Jackson – Remember When

  • / Between the greater-soul & fleshed reality are particles, the final tangible reaches of our thought, seeming like something singing out beyond the rugged tabletops of testable existence, & if we had eyes to see this outlandish world, we might see a swirling of mysterious cloudy forms, a blending of ourselves & our surroundings in a mystical dancing light, in salty jewels, our cloudy arms & hands would try to reach our cloudy chairs & sink & blend into a mad phantasmagoria… / We should be afraid until we learned that we were part of it, our bodies swirling clouds of atoms; but what’s important is that we would be seeing at the gate just beyond which is the home of Mystery, source of Soul, which is our truest life, our centrum… / Now where would we be if we stepped forward, through the gate, through the mysterious clouds of unknowing? / This makeshift shadowy world is a metaphor which is our chariot of choice, our light-inducting dark-proof vehicle ready to ride the road & river of space & time, to deliver us from evil, which is all that isn’t, in the vision of the cloud-bodied hungry soul, when it goes through the gate to the mystery of unanswering love.. / We see from there how all things flow outward toward wisdom, & back upon themselves toward joy, & that love is always answering, is the cloud formed into self, which is others & all, at once. E.M. Shorb We stand always on this side of the gate looking through to what is on the other side…it is light sometimes, it is dark at others…dare we go through?...in his brilliant poem Shorb says it for us..
