Lovers statue at the Old Blacksmith Shop in Gretna Green Scotland. The Old blacksmith’s shop, built around 1712, and Gretna Hall Blacksmiths Shop 1710 became, in popular folklore at least, the focal point for the marriage trade. The Old Blacksmiths opened to the public as a visitor attraction as early as 1887.

At least that’s what you may think when you look at this picture. They were at a nice cosy place under a tree, growing on an old tree trunk. Sadly they didn’t make it and dissapeared as the tree trunk wasn’t there anymore the year after. EOS 10D, 50/1.8, some sunshine.
