The Loss describes the fact that we all lost something, then we feel so lonely. It can be something or someone that made of us what we are, that made that we felt alive. / But finally all those events that hurt us so much built us, make us stronger and give us something in addition, something that will make us special! We only notice that (for those who notice it) a very long time later… In this creation this loss is reprensentated by the snail’s cockle, like if before she was in it, this was on her back, just like when a snail leave it. / But look at her back, ya see what she got in return? Wings. / The tree branches on her head symbolize her thoughts, so deeply rooted in her mind that she cannot see the good days and hope that are coming to her! This represents our blocked thoughts, when we feel so bad that we cannot help from having dark and depressive thoughts. / She also has elvish ears, the magicks she cannot see yet! So this creation is for those who actually feel bad, who have felt bad, who will feel bad. . Yet sold two posters of this creation. My gallery is Copyright © Wandering Soul. This is a collaboration between my daughter, Brianna (13), and myself. :) She’s a fantastic photographer for her age..she amazes me much of the time. She showed me this photo that she took, and I begged her to let me work on it. :) (yes…I had to beg! Teenagers..ya know?) Anyway, she’s been studying Japanese for a little over 2 years now, so when I asked her what we should call it, she said simply: ki. / Japanese for tree.. / / / >featured< / homepage / / /
Veil of Mystery Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © A stand of bare limbed trees on a gently rolling hillside emerges from the veil of an early morning fog. Gympie, Queensland. “Some might see the morning fog as a shroud of / grey that settles in their soul and stays with them / even when the sun breaks through to warm their / skin. / Others see the fog as a beautiful mist that opens / up to reveal the brightness of life and a reason to / feel good about the outside…on the inside.” / ~ Annette Hansen Veil of Mystery has been featured in the: Redbubble Homepage – December 08 Trees Group – June 08 Trees and Their Parts Group – May 09
This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. I get the feeling I’m the last sober one around here.(not for long…ha.) / / >featured< / sold: 2 mounted prints (RB artists) / / More from this series: / / Welcome Home / Tattered And Torn / Wild Horses / Watch Your Step / I Remember You / / /

Acrylic on canson paper. Inspired while listening to “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeplin! / Theres a lady whos sure / All that glitters is gold / And shes buying a stairway to heaven. / When she gets there she knows / If the stores are all closed / With a word she can get what she came for. / Ooh, ooh, and shes buying a stairway to heaven. Theres a sign on the wall / But she wants to be sure / cause you know sometimes words have two meanings. / In a tree by the brook / Theres a songbird who sings, / Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven. / Ooh, it makes me wonder, / Ooh, it makes me wonder. Theres a feeling I get / When I look to the west, / And my spirit is crying for leaving. / In my thoughts I have seen / Rings of smoke through the trees, / And the voices of those who standing looking. / Ooh, it makes me wonder, / Ooh, it really makes me wonder. And its whispered that soon / If we all call the tune / Then the piper will lead us to reason. / And a new day will dawn / For those who stand long / And the forests will echo with laughter. If theres a bustle in your hedgerow / Dont be alarmed now, / Its just a spring clean for the may queen. / Yes, there are two paths you can go by / But in the long run / Theres still time to change the road youre on. / And it makes me wonder. Your head is humming and it wont go / In case you dont know, / The pipers calling you to join him, / Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, / And did you know / Your stairway lies on the whispering wind. And as we wind on down the road / Our shadows taller than our soul. / There walks a lady we all know / Who shines white light and wants to show / How evrything still turns to gold. / And if you listen very hard / The tune will come to you at last. / When all are one and one is all / To be a rock and not to roll. And shes buying a stairway to heaven. / Led Zeplin / / featured in Core [C.O.R.E] / featured in Bagels and Lox – Jewish themed art and writing / featured in the Sisterhood
