This 9” x 12” portrait of a Bullmastiff dog waiting patiently for his master to return was created in artist colour pencils on Stonehenge paper and took over 55 hours to complete. This piece was awarded First Prize in the Painting & Drawings: Animals class at an Art Show that I entered. This image has been Featured in the Cats and Dogs (1 per day) group.

My dog Spike. / Under normal circumstances he’s actually quite cute.
Cute little puppy
Not quite as dignified as he looks
While the scientists were discussing further modifications, TeddyDawg made good his escape. One of the Scientists had carelessly left his Hoverhopper unguarded, and armed now with higher canine mind, Ted wasted no time. He vaulted the low rail and was into the seat in a flash. Although he was dog-tired from the last operation, his combo brain was serving him well and he was soon flying over the icy, oily, factory floor, before anyone could move. He would show them just what a stuffed toy could really do. He smiled as he increased power. …“Now, where is that cat?”
Medium: coloured pencil / Here is a heeler pup I drew for Di Edwards….I drew her dog Sparky, and Australia post ruined it! So this one is for you Di! Hope you enjoy!
Like my kitten image I wanted to paint this little dog with some fantasy flair. This dog is basically my creation I don’t know if there are any dogs that look exactly like this in the world, I’m sure definitely not this colorful. I looked at a few photos of puppies and dogs to get ideas of what type of dog I wanted to create and paint. I played with different colors until I got a result that I liked. I wanted this dog to look very cute and mysterious much like my kitten image.
This is Murphy a very old and wonderful SpringaDor. (Springer Spaniel cross Labrador)

Tucker was from a litter that was found in a bag dumped in a ditch and someone stopped and saved them. He was brought home by my son as a small pup. The girl that had him couldn’t keep him at the apartment. He has a loving family here. This is a re-work of my Scruffy picture I took of her 3 days after I found her abandoned on the “campo” scared and alone. Nikon D40 18-55mm I think she must have been thrown out at night as she is terrified of going into our back garden at night (our spotlight is broken!) and just cowers on the grass in fear and refuses to go to the toilet! Anyway whilst RB was down the other day I did a bit of playing on PSP and this was one of the images I played with!!! TEXTURE /

...feeling a bit nostalgic today so I thought I’d share this snippet of days gone by with youDays go by ..”His Master’s Voice” is a famous trademark in the music business, and for many years was the name of a large record label. The name was coined in 1899 as the title of a painting of the dog Nipper listening to a wind-up gramophone. .inspired by the Artist Francis Barraud(he did the original painting)of Nipper’ a first experimental digital creation using a photo I took of my ol’ grammy….a photo of Nipper layered them onto a gold gradient background added the notes/text/put it thru’ Redfield fractallius/organic edges to give it the distressed look/cloned/coloured/contrast tweaked etc; .featured in ‘Art in math’ ...
