"This is the will of God, even your sanctification." 1 Thessalonians 4:3 This painting was inspired by the powerful devotions penned and published by Oswald Chambers in the early 1900’s. His powerful book, My Utmost for His Highest, continues to touch my life and draw me closer to Jesus. I hope that this art and verse do the same for you! I had a dream, few days ago. / Here, I’m tiring to bring only one most important piece of it, for ME. / In my dream, as if I’m taking out a Green drawer from a table, in a shop, I used to own, many years ago…... / it seems that drawer, is like a piece of 3D puzle, perhaps similar to a closed book in its shape. It’s colours are Greens, and in very simple, yet clear Golden lines, pieces of Puzzle are being draw. / It is written :PUZZLE , on it. / Those Greens, that maybe represents so well, the colour of the Glass, in a room, I used to live, placed in a balcony, during the 70’s… / Those Green carpets of nature, those plowed Fields, I see as bound with my name, Nira. / Or that Green Glass ring, my father made for me, once… / All those Greens of Nature, that I so much love, and can be seen in so many of my artwork… / GREEN FOR GROWTH, from the inside… / And… for sure… MORE.. / Thanks for viewing and commenting, May your have a splendid day!! Original Artwork Information / Watercolour on Paper / (300 gsm Cold-Pressed) / 37×27cm / 2006 A study of a shop front window. The intention is not to create a realistic painting, but rather learn from the elements within the shop window to help develop my vocabulary of shapes, line, composition and space for my oil paintings. The native New Zealand Cordyline Australis aka Cabbage Tree and having the maori name of Te Tii. Named Cabbage Tree because the soft heart at the base of the leaves is reminiscent of cabbage. I’ve tried it and its much nicer than cabbage. This tree is actually a gigantic member of the dracaena family. / This photo has been given a single photo psuedo hdr treatment then layered with a grain merge texture. / Panasonic Lumix FZ5
This pic is inspired by one of the lovely images by fellow bubbler Sharon K Shubert – check her out, she’s great! / In her latest images, she’s paying tribute to autumn/fall, but we are approaching spring here in New Zealand, hence the title. / Deciduous tree has been inverted and layered with a brown autumn leaf. Thanks Sharon for the inspiration. :)
This is just a simple vector design. I try to do designs on the computer before painting them to see if the colours work well together. But, it would also make a cute print or greeting card, so I thought I’d upload it.
A simple vector design. I’m thinking of painting some of these simple designs. I always try to do a design on the computer before beginning the painting, just so I can see if the colours work. I thought this could make a cute print so have uploaded it as well.
An abstract acrylic painting on art paper of a tall skinny parent tree with a baby tree set against a very colorful and rustic sky and background. (6” x 8”)
Original abstract painting 40×30x0.5 in. Oil on canvas I will sign my paintings wherever requested on the canvas so owners can hang them anyway they wish. I consider this interaction between art and owner part of the creative process. Thanks for taking the time to look at my work.
