  • This is my brother, Harold. He is 9 years younger than I. So, it’s hard to believe we are BOTH over errr…40. I remember when we both thought 30 was old-LOLOL!!!! He’s a super-duper guy! Always helping others with anything. He’s a wonderful husband, father and grandpa of several! I am always so very, very proud of him. Ii feel like this is a good shot of him I took last week. I wish you could have seen the red hair he had ever since he was BORN! A real CARROT top. He was a dickens, too. Full of spunk, too to go with that red hair. After he started to turn a little gray, it went a little dark. Now you can’t see from this shot that he ever was red. LOL! It’s hard to keep him still enough to catch a chance to get one photo, but I was lucky to get 3-4. Just wanted to share with you. :D))- As Is. Camera; Panasonic Lumix O.I.S. 5X Optical Zoom DMC-LZ

  • Another Layer of Healing in 2009
    by Lynn Moore

Loss is healed in many layers; my brother and I got to experience one more layer of healing this Christmas.

Forgive my continued need to revisit my dad’s death and the impact on my family. Each piece I write though brings with it another step in healing, acceptance and forgiveness. This is dedicated to my brother Jeff, who steadfastly models strength, love and the truth that we all must find our own path through loss and change. He is still the rock in our family, though he is miles away in Arizona. To me, he represents the Ultimate Rock, the Rock of Christ. I’m not sure he always enjoys being viewed as the rock in our family, but he carries the weight with love and grace. I have stepped into my dad’s shoes in other ways and it is not easy. But at the same time it is a privilege; a privilege I think Jeff recognizes and values most of the time. I love you Jeff. I am fortunate to have you as my older brother. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for me. Thank you most of all for who you are…my brother. / Lil’ sis, / Lynn
