Keila Cascade was shot a in the Estonia.
Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. Trümmelbachfälle (Trümmelbach waterfalls) is a unique-in-Europe series of waterfalls inside the mountain. Trümmelbach brook alone drains the whole glaciated area of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau with up to 20.000 liters per second! Take a lift through the mountain and get fascinated by the power of water… Photographing the waterfalls was all but easy: difficult lighting with very high contrast between lit water and dark rocks, long exposures of several seconds, best views being often from bridges trembling due to both tourists’ steps and enormous water masses, omnipresent spray of glacial water and everything wet… Fascinating experience, I have spent two great hours photographing, completely forgetting about the rest of my family… Lauterbrunnental, Switzerland. July 2008. Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135, Manfrotto tripod. Post-processing: retouch, tonality adjustment, sharpening, colorize, crop to square, resize, frames.
Such a mighty stream! No surprise that the waters of Trümmelbach are so powerful; the area this brook drains includes the famous glaciated mountain trio Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau... Another of my Watercolours I was happy with. Migrating from Oils to Watercolours is hard as I find Watercolours so permanent. At least in Oils you can fix up and fix up… and fix up. Mind you Watercolours are much quicker so you can always start again. Plus clean up is even better! Painted a couple of years ago so unclear of paper, but my guess is that it was a Medium grain 190gsm

Deep into Buttermilk Falls State Park lies this incredibly beautiful destination. Stunning deep colors, falling leaves from the trees, and the sun peaking its way thru every now and again. True bliss! Ithaca NY’s finest. Nikon D90 /
BigD I am sure you will appreciate this one. This is a shot up the base of Lucifer’s Falls in Robert Treman State Park in Ithaca NY. My left side was getting quite soaked standing on the smallest rock trying to get this shot. Every now adn again I had to wipe off my lens from over spray. Lucky for me it wasnt windy this day otherwise I would not have had a shot at all. It is so cool being jsut an inch or two literally form the the main flow of this massive waterfall. Nikon D90 Broken tripod leg….$85 / Bandaid for cut on leg after slipping on rock into waist high water…..$0.25 / Dropping lens cleaning fabric into fast moving stream…..$5 / Getting the “Shot”.....priceless / /
