This intimate, bright yet dark, static yet flowing, autumn themed image was made in Baxter State Park, Maine, USA in October 2006. I like the contrast of the flowing water beneath the still branches, the pop of color from the remaining birch leaves, and the juxtaposition of the branch atop the stream in tone and color! /

I thought the contrast was a little harsh on the original version of this work, so I’ve softened the colour by adjusting the balance, and I’ve also added photographic filters. Suddath Due to a successful brook trout restoration program, for the first time in 30 years, anglers are now able to fish for brook trout in park streams of the Smoky Mountains. These streams were once ruined by logging. The brook trout was also rooted out my non native rainbow and brown trout. Our waters are precious for our life and all of natures, help keep them clean. This image was taken on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, Great Smoky Mountain N.P.

Fishermen at the Silvrettasee (Silvretta Lake), Silvretta, Austrian Alps. / After a day-long hiking through the Silvretta mountains, I was deeply impressed by the peaceful mood and green-grey beauty of the Silvretta Lake. Ice-cold waters rushing from the glaciers of Piz Buin and its neighbours created an amazing abstract form of the lake shore.
