Modified Image of the Skin of a Brook Trout
Modified skins of brook, brown and rainbow trout.
EXPERIMENTAL BECAUSE: It’s the first time I’ve rippled anything, first time I’ve set art at a 45 deg angle. The fish were drawn and colored first in Arthause Studio Xtra, then the color was put thru its paces in Photo Filtre (and sized & turned there), and lastly, this went to Photoshop for its rippling.
A drawing of the skyline with, “Welcome to Nashville” which is in Tennessee, the home of country music… or anyone who appreciates the city or the state..
Eastern brook trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) watercolor treatment and fractalius filter
Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) – watercolor filter and fractalius filter treatment
Brown trout (Salmo trutta) watercolor filter and fractalius treatment
I drew the outline on the tablet, added some color, then added textures by selecting the fish and adding a layer mask… My first attempt at this. I will experiment more as adding textures to drawings seems fun and interesting.
Trout teeshirt…playing around with textures, gradients, and blend modes.

Such a mighty stream! No surprise that the waters of Trümmelbach are so powerful; the area this brook drains includes the famous glaciated mountain trio Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau... Also available as wall art:
