Acrylic on stretched canvas with powder pigments dry brushed on,The iridescent pigments give it a patina that doesn’t show up as well in a photograph. / . . . / . /
Aryclic painting with mixed media, gold and bronze outliners, the original paintings (this one, the magic leaf, what is emerging?, fusion leaf, can you see the face expression? paintings) all have a certain different gleam at every different angle of the light, this was cleverly created from the use of metallic pens, and silk painting gutta outliners that are pearlised, see through and pearly, metallic sequins that were carefully placed at some angles of the paintings.
steve like this one (bodymechanic). I will hang it in the next Gallery 26 show. It’s very textured, layered, and it has sparkles.

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you want to go? was his response. I don’t know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn’t matter.” / -Lewis Carroll, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” Second artwork in my new series based off of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. This is the my take on the Cheshire Cat, who though a smiling and logical entity, is also a bit unnerving. I chose to portray the cat as something a bit unsettling and ambiguous. “’But I don’t want to go among mad people,’ Alice remarked. / ‘Oh, you can’t help that,’ said the Cat. ‘We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.’ / ‘How do you know I’m mad?’ said Alice. / ‘You must be,” said the Cat. ‘or you wouldn’t have come here.’” The original artwork measures 12.5×19”, and was created with mostly colored pencils and art pens and markers on burgundy Canson paper. The original photograph was of a dozen roses. After painstakingly removing all but the single rose in Photoshop, I applied several gradients and filters to achieve this final effect.
