A photograph of yours truly holding the bronze statuette award for winning the 2008 Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival of Arts Best Photograph of the Exhibition. This photograph was taken by my father Gordon Stones at the Henry Lawson Obelisk at Grenfell, New South Wales, Australia during the 2008 festival, which was held during the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June. The obelisk marks the birthplace of famous Australian poet Henry Lawson.

One of Melbournes many horse statues/sculptures. “She is called Anna the Horse and was made in 1991/92. The gold mane is 24 carat gold leaf.” / Ref :(Daniel Jenkins) This statue rises quite high up hence the angle it was taken on. I particularly liked the golden mane. Taken on south east corner of Bourke and Swanston Street, Melbourne, Victoria July 2008. / Anna the horse stands opposite “Wally the pig” who proudly stands on the north east corner of Bourke and Swanston Streets Melbourne. She is also noted for her contributions to the Civil Rights Movement in the United States (she was offered the leadership of the movement by Coretta Scott King in 1968 following Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, but turned it down), for assisting the French Resistance during the Second World War and being the first American-born woman to receive the highest French military honor, the Croix de Guerre, and for being an inspiration to generations of African American female entertainers and others.

Origami calendar / / Folded the frog and the lily out of 15×15mm pieces of paper (though the lily at the back was folded from 2×2cm). I used Canadian pennies to depict lily pad.
