Dolly Broke / Dolly Broke is available as a framed print, canvas print, poster, laminated print and card. / Dolly Broke has been a popular seller as framed wall art print and as a card not only for a Nursery but for adults and the memories it evokes. The little doll in this picture is much like my first Christmas doll. / When I opened the box she had beautiful, long locks, a gorgeous dress but I was never a dolly girl and within an hour of being given her, I had chopped her hair off, ripped her clothes off and painted her / ....... Perhaps I was a little peeved not getting more paints and coloured pencils and books for Christmas. Dad never said anything….but I remember he was very quiet and she was the first and last doll I got for Christmas ..lol! A pastel painting of one on the sculptures in the sculture park called the living desert out from Broken Hill. This was from a very qiick drawing I did as the sun was setting on a red coloured sky reflecting onto the vast plains turning everything red, there was still a lot of red smoke around from the bush fires,As a balmy breeze gently drifted through the beautiful scene, a piper played some beautiful Scottish laments, then the plane appeared glinting silver with a sliver vapour trail behind.Magical. / Pastel on watercolour paper sealed with black blackboard paint / ! / http://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/backingcolor:white/product:greeting-card/view:preview/489853-6-the-living-desert-broken-hill.jpg!
I was coming home yesterday from an appointment downtown, / and happened to look over and see this place. It was completely / abandoned, along with garages, a barn and cars. Didn’t go in, (yet..heh) but I got a few good shots from the front. I added the flood..(to go with the title.) / / CS3/Corel/handheld/Samsung/HDR / I can’t even begin to list all of the things I did to this. / One filter conversion to the next applying and painting certain areas with the saturation brush, then repeating the process + / overlays & more fine tuning! Thanks for checking it out. :) / / / Special thanks to Kevin Kroeker for being a major inspiration with HDR. You can check out some of his truly amazing HDR work here: click me!

Model – Danica/Nytevision I have a few versions from this particular set, but I really liked this one even though it wasn’t the final piece I chose to represent the idea. Pentacon 6 TL + Kodak Portra 160VC / Barbie Ferrari’s are still cool. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

I believe we’ve all eaten from this tree, at some time or another.. / / Mixture of digital art + several actual photos. / Work time: 4 or 5 hours (using the magnetic lasso tool in CS3 on / and around every tree branch, then cleaning them up with the eraser +blur) very intricate work. Same thing with the hearts.. /
Another one of that lovely Janina for ya. :-) Thanks for stopping by! / Andreas Stridsberg © www.mystic-pic.com
. / . I have to credit Dear Hubby for this one again. When we stopped the car, my eye was drawn to the window right above this one … through the broken panes of glass and the hanging curtain, you can see the slats of the roof … between which are pure sky. But from my husband’s vantage point in the driver’s seat, he saw the brilliant color of this one!!! Nothing like having a great co-pilot!!!!! My thanks to my dear friend Bevie (Beve Brown-Clark) who suggested I give this one a face lift with Orton … she was soooo right … it made a huge improvement!!! May try HDRing it one of these days, too!!! WHEEEEE!!! SUCH fun!!! This image was taken with my Nikon D40x, using the 55-200mm VR lens in Pavia, Pennsylvania.
Oil on Masonite – 16” x 20” Childhood Broken is part of the series of paintings I did while coming to terms with childhood sexual abuse. This painting is not an angry image, but a sad one that mourns the lost childhood which quietly drifts away in a strange, dreamlike setting, never to be reclaimed. I found myself crying most of the time while I was painting this piece. If interested, you can see the entire abuse series at http://www.gjefle-art.com/abuse/abuse-index.htm / .
