Dolly Broke / Dolly Broke is available as a framed print, canvas print, poster, laminated print and card. The little doll in this picture is much like my first Christmas doll. / When I opened the box she had beautiful, long locks, a gorgeous dress but I was never a dolly girl and within an hour of being given her, I had chopped her hair off, ripped her clothes off and painted her / ....... Perhaps I was a little peeved not getting more paints and coloured pencils and books for Christmas. Dad never said anything….but I remember he was very quiet and she was the first and last doll I got for Christmas ..lol! *model/ concept: Art laugh because it’s funny, and cry because it’s so pitifully true, guys… the fact remains that even if you’re a talented design/ art/ photography student, the size of your income may not always be quite so proportionate to the size of your skill. (of course, if you throw in a heavy dose of prayer and ambition, THEN the equation changes…) special thanks to Art for coming up with the idea for this photo, and just being ballsy enough to do this at a freeway exit, where I’m sure drivers were more than a little weirded out by what they saw oh, and by the way… do you guys remember the good ol’ days when we thought $2.87 for a gallon of gas was expensive? we were young, naive and innocent then… fun fact: this photo is nearly two years old! I took this back in late 2006 when I didn’t even have my dSLR yet! I normally don’t go back that far when searching for past photos that are worthy of being tweaked in the lab, but this one was special :)
This is an old barn In the Swan Valley Area, Idaho. Heading up the Jackson pass. I have uploaded this earlier but have done some tweaking with the colors. / Canon30Dslr
Taking a mask off will only reveal another mask.
This has been floating around my room for absolutely ages now, but ive only just had the time to actually sit down and finish it. It was half coloured in, but because it had been like that for ages it just didnt seem right to colour the rest, so i got out a brush and streaked it with water. The flowers are took off google images. I’ll let you figure out the symbolism in it :) —-—-—-—-—-—-—— / Thank You For Viewing / Original By Emma Black / Do Not Use Without Permission
A burnt out car wreck I found in a local forest… and I was supposed to be looking for nice things to photograph! Humanity is destroying the Earth and killing its soul with its greed and disrepect… but if history is any indication Mother Earth will fight back and eventually out live us all. Our buildings will crumble, our cars rust and our bodies turn to dust…and the scars we have left will heal.

This is the beach at a squatters town, Broke Inlet, at the end of a 4-wheel drive track, on the south coast of Western Australia, near Walpole. It is a fabulous place to explore, especially as – if they pull down the shacks – there may only be this view and a few pieces of driftwood left. Taken with Leica MP, 24mm lens, Velvia 100 film. Cropped in photoshop and levels tweaked. FEATURED IN A PHOTOGRAPHER’S CRAFT!
Sign photographed in the basement area of the derelict Cellulose Paper Mill at Snuggery near Millicent South Australia. “Broke” was the material at the ends of the pulp making process that would break off and fall to the floor below, thus the warning sign….Maybe a warning of the state of the Economy?

House is on top of a hill in Swan Valley Idaho… Art is interpreted differently as everything is interpreted differently thru a persons eyes. Some might see this as a great house with alot af deapth an A+ picture taking location. Others might connect with it on a deeper more emotional level. They may view themselves as an empty house sitting alone on top of a hill in the middle of nowhere. This might be what some strive for…isolation and silence. Whatever stirs that spark of magic that is still deep down that hasent yet been combed out, spanked out or washed out as you grew to who you are today..Take that magic and run with it!!!!
Broke Inlet is a squatter’s town at the end of a 4-wheel track on the south coast of Western Australia, near Walpole. Years ago, fishermen started building little shacks and they’ve been passed down from one generation to another. While taking shots of the town, a young woman came out to see what was going on. She told me she had been going there since a young girl and had married a boy she had met down there. So it is still a thriving community although some of the shacks look like they’re deserted now and they may all be pulled down at some point as they have no legal right to be there. / Taken with Nikon D700 105 mm macro lens, f6.3, 1/25th, IS) 500, -.3 step.
