Recently I did some photography work for a freind which she used in a presentation to local groups ie police ambulance, socail work type groups. She informed me that the presentation went down fantasticly and the photos received great comments. This presentation is now being produced into a brochure with my photos so I will get my name published as the photographer and my contact number. I am so impressed. I will be getting a look at the final presentation next week.

I have fallen in love with Petrol Pump and have decided to do a little promotion to the residents in the area where I took the photograph. I thought it would be a good idea to write a letter and drop it in the letter box of the residents within close proximity. Sure it might be junk mail, but it is targeted and hopefully appreciated. Here is what I wrote and will distribute to the area soon: Dear Occupants, My name is Jacob and I am a photographer. Recently I have photographed the Petrol Pump out the front of your house and I thought it might be of interest to yourself. The photograph is available as a premium greeting card or as a matted print which would be ideal to hang on your wall as a feature of the location where you reside. I found a great place to share multi-platform documents that has excellent preview and browsing controls. I hope to be making use of this site to correlate my work here in Red Bubble. (Thinking about converting Bubble Video 1 into a published document on this site.) At any rate my first published document is samples of some pre-press work I did while working for the areas largest printer as a layout and design artist. I published this document mainly to experiment with the sites capabilities. I see it as an excellent presentation tool. After loading this document, I scoured my hard drive for pdf’s I had made in the past and uploaded them all. If you choose to go see this, I recommend trying the fullscreen , magnifier, and slide functions. You are also free to download the files from that site and view them on your own computer in your own program at your leisure without even having to be online. And not through someone buying it there as a digital download as then I would have earned only about R60 I think lol can’t even remember, but the guy in charge there promoted a few works to someone in my hometown who is making a brochure or something of the area, and sold images at R300 each, I get R240! I don’t even know which image of the four I have there it is! Will keep u posted when I am posted lol! Yippee!

My photograph “Sunset at Oia, Santorini” has been featued in the GAP Adventures 2009 Europe – Middle East Tours Brochure. I entered it in their travel shot competition, along with an accompanying story. Both photo and story feature on Page 36 of the GAP Brochure… check it out on line here Or pick up a brochure from a travel agency! Check out the Gap Adventures website for heaps of amazing tours in hundreds of destinations. I took this photo when I was on the ‘Mykonos to Santorini’ Greek sailing adventure tour in October 2007. I’m off to Asia this month on another GAP adventure, I’ll be sure to have many more fantastic travel photo opportunities!
