The moon over Brisbane and her river.
Painted from a nice little beach on the edge of the river. The light was clear and fresh…nice way to spend the morning.

Mt Coot-tha is located 7 kilometres west of Brisbane’s City Centre and occupies one of the most beautiful vantage points from which to view an Australian capital city and surrounds. Commanding panoramic views over the city of Brisbane and beyond to Moreton Bay and it’s islands to the East, and the Glasshouse Mountains and the D’Agilar Range to the West. It is surrounded by the 220 hectare Mt Coot-tha reserve which is an oasis of natural bushland and native wildlife. The Taylor Range of which Mt Coot-tha is a part, forms a backdrop of hills to the city of Brisbane. Get a wallpaper from flickr by clicking the image below: /

So many people fly through life with an objective or target that has to be met, but how often do you really slow down and consider the responsibilty of your own actions. Just enjoy the view for me from time to time.

This is straight from my camera, shot with the hand made bendy lens The lights of the gabba…. My camera is reading the focal length of this lens at 50mm, even though the lens doesn’t communicate with the camera….weird! The sway in the background of this image just mesmerises me….unfortunately you need to view it on black to appreciate it, I think. I’ve desaturated this, just a little, other than that, its SOOC with the hand made bendy lens guess I should do a journal with pics of the lens, shouldn’t I?
