My sister’s dog. He’s very photogenic when he decides to stand still for a few seconds. He’s supposed to be sitting here, but notice his rump is not touching the ground lol.

A “pit bull” wearing a pink collar looking down main street of a small town. She is feared and discriminated against because of what she looks like. She is a victim of the media which portrays her as a vicious killer even though she was the one thrown from a car on a freeway when she was 5 months old.

Love this one of her :) — For Playful Photogenic Pets’ challenge, ‘How has your pet made a difference in your life?’ and also for the Rescued Pets group- I rescued Scarlet around two years ago. She was bred by a backyard breeder and dumped at a shelter very early on in life. She spent 6 months in the shelter and was to be put to sleep – no one had shown any interest in her and she was going kennel mad. I didn’t think I could let this dog, who had been brought into the world, only to spend her entire life in a kennel get put to sleep, so I put in an application to adopt her and within 3 days, she was mine. I’ve not once regretted the somewhat impulsive decision to rescue her. She is my heart dog and I love her to pieces. All she ever wants to do is be with me and all she has ever shown me is love. I’ve been sick for 5 years and having her in my life has made being unwell just that little bit easier. When I’m feeling down, she persists with silly behaviour until I crack a smile and when I’m unwell, she simply sits or lies with me – just being in her presence makes me feel more relaxed. This is a shot I got of my sweet little buddy-Buster. he is a Brindle Dachshund-6 years old. he rides with me all the time in the car. Here he is in his harness, excited and waiting for me to give him the word“up-up” to board my van. He’s my little protector and really loves his mommy and daddy. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old. So, we are the only parents he knows and I know HE thinks he is our “Child”. He is protective of us and our home, BUT, sweet as a lamb with most people especially children. AS IS.

Jasper and Roxi play in the shallow waters of Lake Mulwala. Roxi is a Bull Arab (Australian bred pig hunting dog). / Jasper is a Hungarian Visla (pedigree water gun dog). Roxi is 13 months and Jasper is 12 months. / They have grown up together since young puppies, are best friends and love eachother and pretty much everybody around them. They love a good play and will play until the sun goes down. Whilst they are at either ends of extremeties when it comes down to personalities, it’s their differences which make them compliment eachother in every way. Mulwala, New South Wales, Australia. This is little Lola. I am babysitting her for a week. She is a sweet little thing and gives me a good laugh. These are some pics I took on our walk today. She is a rescue dog. She is a mix of a pug and a terrier, with a brindle, wiry coat.
