Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

12×18 pastel on Wallis sanded paper Another Klimt inspired mythological piece. This is of the great witch/goddess of the Odyssey, Circe. In this I imagined the moment Odysseus comes and accuses Circe of turning his men into swine. Even with pigs at her feet I envision her being coy “How dare you accuse me of such a thing, here would you like a drink…” / I always found it interesting that Odysseus stayed for three years with Circe even though he was in such a hurry to get back home to his wife. Maybe Circe was correct in trying to change him into a pig!

This is my fun version of it. / This digital painting is all mouse drawn and painted in Photoshop 5.5. Windows ‘98 platform. I would like to think my version of the ‘Pearl’ is how Mr. Vemeer would have painted it if he was a commercial illustrator in the 21’st century. He liked bright color as is being discovered when they clean centuries of grime off his wonderful paintings. I recieved a reproduction back on this design.
