Last rose left in the rose garden. Autumn is here now…
Black-eyed susan’s bright colors reflected in ripples with a floating bubble overhead.
Butterfly perched on a sunflower.
In white they wait – not faces but flower stalks. / Not veils but petals. The silent brides are coming – so pure.
This is an orange gerbra trapped in the water drop. The petal is that of an Asian Lilly / / /
A close-up of one of a long line of sunflowers planted alongside a cornfield on Woodland Road in Iroquois County Illinois. The sunflowers were drenched in a soaking rain the night before and were beautiful against the early morning bright blue sky. Taken with a Nikon CoolPix 5700. Bring a little sunshine into the lives of those who so desperately need it. I thought I’d do some more flowers added to texture and try this metal texture I found, plus an underlying texture that is from a lace shawl that I just photographed macro about 5 minutes ago! This texture ‘thing’ Judi and I have been talking about has really got me looking all around the house for textures and fabrics etc. that I can shoot more macros of! ;-)

I love pink, I admit it. Is it as tired a feminine cliche as I imagine sometimes? Perhaps not. These days I don’t care. Those tulips were calling me that day with my camera. Woman that I am, I went running and got close. I surrendered to the girly urge. Click! Pretty pink… The green and the ruffley lines captured here make me happy, too.
