  • Green Dragon on a yellow umbrella.

  • Subject: Grevillea “Orange Marmalade” / Location: Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane. Formerly titled “Orange”. This is probably the most popular photograph I have taken to date, shot in late April 2005. Grevilleas are hybrid native plants which come in a large variety of shapes and sizes, from ground covers to large trees. The flowers come in a range of colors including light pinks and whites, orange, red, green and yellow and are one of my favourite subjects.

  • Vibrant caterprillar comes to electrifying life.

  • Hope u like it!! Enjoy! _

  • Close up macro of a water-spewing fish on a fountain at the Kennywood amusement park. Many people simply walk past this charming fountain on their way to the Exterminator, Pittsburgh Plunge or Phantom’s Revenge, but I always stop to enjoy the novelty of it. Got some strange looks from people while hanging halfway into the fountain to get this close to the little fish. • A water droplet on the petals of a mum… the colors and reflections in the drop were amazing I couldn’t resist… : D

  • Tiny dandelion seeds against a colorful paper… Enjoy!

  • Featured by Depth of Field – 2 images per day – May 2009 From the visit to the Botanic Gardens in Adelaide. Tiny yellow flowers which appear to be floatng in space like disembodied helicopters. At least 1:1 / I have no idea what they are called but I was drawn to their simplicity and their bright colour and the challege of using my D90 with AF-S Micro Nikkor60mm lens. 1/50sec F/3.2 / /

  • Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

  • Orchid, shot with a Canon EOS 350D with Canon EFS 60mm f/2.8 macro lens. / Straight from camera.

  • I was experimenting with water and food colouring in my DIY studio at home. I put drops of the dye into the water and then quickly focused before the dye sank to the bottom. I also used thin white plastic with a light behind it to bring up the vivid colours. After viewing this in my digital darkroom I flipped the image just for fun to give it another dimension. It sort of looks like flowers growing up out of the ground.
