  • As some of you may have noticed, I like to use mushrooms in my images. They’re just so wonderfully odd-looking. In the “Cosmic Mushrooms” series, I pair them with images of nebula taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. The shapes of fungi thrusting though the earth and jets of gas pushing against the interstellar medium echo each other wonderfully, so that even a toadstool several parsecs across isn’t completely strange… “Cosmic Mushrooms 1” combines an image of the Orion Nebula with a photograph from stock.xchng member “Bobasse” (yoann yoann).

  • I was bored one night and couldn’t get to sleep, so I picked up the sketchbook and started doodling. I hadn’t drawn a dragon in a while, and so this was how this one turned out. Start with a few pretty lines and it really turns into something interesting. I’m really proud of how it turned out. Hope you all like it!

  • This is a digitized version of one of my Oil Paintings, Colorful Friends. When I started doing this painting, I started with a single shape, not knowing what was going to come out of it. Eventually one shape led to the other and to my own surprise, the shapes were transforming into an animal-base painting. Then my imagination and inner child artist took over and colorful friends was born. As an artist, sometimes I just let my imagination do the work without any planning or conceptualizing. I feel free and happy. When the work of art is complete, I wake up and enjoy it to the fullest.
