This image was captured at Marsaxlokk, a quaint little fishing village in Malta. The water was a little murky and kind of greasy, no doubt caused by the diesel from the boats. This has probably caused the paint-like effect that seems prelevant in this image. I tweaked the brightness and colour saturation in photoshop but otherwise this picture is pretty much as is! It was a sunny day and that helped the colours to come out nicely..

Another hand coloured photo from the vaults. This is a flatbed scan of a 10×8 inch photograph that has been printed with two negs just out of register. Then it was doused with various inks and food colourings and scratched and abused with a kitchen scourer before being splattered with gold paint. Tthe Yeh Yeh was burnt in to the surface of the print with a soldering iron….then it’s been allowed to mature for about twenty years before scanning and being uploaded here. Kept it’s colours pretty well I think …. there has been no photoshop work at all done to this… its straight from the scanner.

Featured in Impressionist Art June 2009 / Featured in Fine Arts 27 June 2009 / Featured in Freedom in Words & ART June 2009 early one morning i waked from a dream with this image in my mind. i was in the sea and the colours were vibrant and brilliant – the world was so surreal i got out of my bed and immediately began painting this work. after about 5 hours i set my paintbrushes down. the painting stayed untouched for several years. one day i felt compelled to paint the image of the horse glowing in bright light. there is a native american flavour. while i am only 1/4 native american, i am strongly and inherently influenced by my native heritage “the eternal sea” is my self-portrait / started in 2000 finished in 2004 multi-media / Acrylics / Acrylic Laquers / Acrylic Enamels / Glitter Gels / Acrylic Metallics 20×16 inches / premium canvas panel
