closed down ride at Bridlington next to boat
children’s boats tied up on Bridlington seafront
The normally dull fish pier seems to take on a new personality as the setting sun lights up it’s sea wall.
An old shot, with the evening sun lighting up the harbour.
Manipulation of the Bridlington Eye, now reopened yipee!
Had to stay in today, waiting for the gasman, he came as he said and job done well for a fair price :-) I would normally have been out today, especially as the sun was shining, but while I waited I went through some old photo’s. / / This one was taken at Bridlington, it was an unusual day, the sea was stormy yet the sun shone. Taken with an early type Canon 2million pixel camera.
You can often get a very special light immediately after a storm. We now live in Bridlington a lovely, largely unspoiled seaside town,so we can walk on the beach at any time of day. The challenge here was to try and capture the intense dazzle of the breaking waves.

It just happened I had a 300mm lens on, saw some crows dive behind the cliff edge, waited, and they did it again. Bridlington, Yorkshire sometime in the past or the future in the solid air.
The pier at Bridlington, this was taken during a period when I only used a 35mm lens, interesting experience.
Fantastic clouds full of snow.

Gannet (Morus bassanus), gliding past my position on the top of the cliffs at Bempton Cliffs, near Bridlington in the UK. Large attractive seabirds, with fantastic staring eyes. I love the fine black lines on the long sharp bill, its as if they were painted on with a fine paint brush. I really enjoyed photographing these birds, if I lived closer I would be there everyday in the nesting season. How often do you get the chance to photograph birds like this in flight, so close up..? For me at least not very often.
