/ . / Please view large photo to appreciate panorama fully / . / This is a panorama taken on the same night of my other photos “Luna Over Luna Park”, ““By Request””, and “Luna Harbours”. The photos were taken in quite quick succession. I attempted to combine the full moon, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. You might be interested in viewing the other photos because one is in Portrait, two are in Landscape, and this one PANORAMA. It’s amazing how a similar subject can be photographed in slightly different ways, and produce different results. I will interested in knowing which of the four is you favourite !
Two famous Australian icons: the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. This was a 30 second exposure shot from down near Mrs Macquarie’s Point. Shot at 40mm; f/10; 30sec; ISO100

I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy when I was 19, this was taken as just a naive snap happy photo on my dodgy old-school camera and I’ve cleaned it up and added some oomph in photoshop. (It’s better if you click on the image to see a larger view)
I met a fellow RedBubbler, Adam Mattel yesterday and we did a photo shoot together. It was a very enjoyable morning and a pleasure to meet a member that lives nearby. This is one the images captured along the Susquehanna river at Harrisburg, PA. This site was settled due to the founder Harris operating a ferry across the river.

Top Featured Piece Of The Day in the Live, Love, Dream group, 12th Nov, 2008. / Featured in the Rivers, Lakes and Dams group, 12th Nov, 2008. Early one January morning, I got out of bed before dawn and headed in to London and the Thames. I knew where I wanted to get the shot from. I set up the tripod and camera and waited. I hoped the sun would be visible, but had nothing more to base the possibility on other than the sky had been red at sunset the night before. My luck was in!

NOTE: Rainbow Waterfalls was nominated to the Pay It Forward group by Kathy S Gillentine and here is what she had to say: ”I want to nominate bigd / He has a great eye for photography. He has allowed to ask me how to do things if he’s not sure ,then he helps me find the way. Big D has been a true inspiration to me ,not only by his work but by his kindness to help me when I need help. His images are beautiful and well thought out. Take the time to look through his extensive portfolio and be inspired by his work.” Kathy S Gillentine It’s a huge surprise and thanks Kathy. We never thought this day would come, / But it’s finally here at last, What once was our bright future, / Is now are dim-lit past, But we hold onto the memories, / The lessons that we learned, The pathways we have traveled down, / The corners that we turned, And soon we say our sad goodbyes, / That will last us forever, We may see each other again, / Maybe once or maybe never, So make your goodbyes ones to remember, / The kind that will stay in their heads, Those are the goodbyes they will treasure, / The ones that were sad to be said.
For this one I waded out under the Sandgate bridge at dawn & took a 10 sec exposure @ f16. / Then I kept the camera in position & waited, waited, waited until the bird flew past and took a shot at 1/180. / Then I combined the two photos in a little program you might know called photoshop. / I can see this one working well on a large canvas.

What a magical place this is Natural Bridge (also known as Natural Arch), in the World Heritage-listed, Springbrook National Park, Queensland, Australia. Over millions of years, the waters of the mountain fed Cave Creek has worn away at the basalt cave roof, to create this natural wonder. Home to a colony of glow-worms, only visible after sunset. The short hiking walk takes you through some beautiful rainforest, most of the time, you can hear the falling waters of these falls. A must see if you come to the area! Canon 50D, 14mm. Available large, and definately best viewed Large!
