even bright light does not disclose dark secrets (part of a bigger series) if you need a lot of explanation for your picture it’s limiting the possibilities of the viewer. or it’s a mediocre picture.

This is another magical area of North Wales ….. Coed y Brenin ….. I have used Painter X to render the image, it has the fullest range of ’ natural ’ brushes and if used with a graphics tablet the transition from orthodox to digital painting is painless, with the added bonus, you can ’ fiddle ’ with the end painting with the knowledge that if you go too far, you can remove it. / As a former traditional artist, I thoroughly recommend ’ Corel Painter ‘ / Final ’ tweaks ’ were made in Photoshop …... Seasons Greetings! / Wishing everyone a very merry time whatever you’re celebrating / :))) Late afternoon light on this frosty winter scene near Manor Brig over the River Tweed outside Peebles in the lovely Scottish Borders. Taken in a gorgeous winter wonderland, following 24 hours of freezing fog on my first ‘proper outing’ with a real dlsr.. but one of those ‘I must be mad’ moments.. crouched behind a crash barrier on a bend in the Glasgow road, sunday drivers whizzing past… (rb home page 19/11/09) / Nikon D60, VR Nikkor 18-200, UV filter / f/9,1/40 sec, ISO-100, 70mm !
