Sydney has many attractions but, I’m sure, the two most well known are the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Quite a few years back now, I got up very early one morning, braved the cold, setup the camera and took this image. I really like the glow from the light just before the sun came up. Scan from Fujichrome. Have sold as a laminated print to someone on RB. Thank you whoever purchased !

Pont du Gard is a Roman aqueduct crossing the river Gardon near Nimes (south of France). Built by Roman engineers throughout the 1st century AD this system brought in water to the Roman town of Nemausus (Nîmes) via an impressive aqueduct system of 50 km from springs at the Fountaine d’Eure in Uzès

I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy when I was 19, this was taken as just a naive snap happy photo on my dodgy old-school camera and I’ve cleaned it up and added some oomph in photoshop. (It’s better if you click on the image to see a larger view)

On this bridge as a boy scout I saw a ghost, from then it became special, almost ethereal in my eyes. The sight of such an unexplained event inspires and triggers the imagination of a young boy to life. I still look at this bridge and wonder which realm the spirit came from and what secrets are held in every arch and brick of this unique structure. In the soft early morning light, the reflections shimmer on the water like ripples through time, stirring the souls of those who have passed over the bridge, and passed across dimensions. This is not just a bridge over a piece of water it is a bridge which spans time, space and maybe spirituality, to me it is the bridge of faith and belief, a bridge of discovery and imagination, a bridge of light and life, a true contender for the most beautiful bridge in the world. To me it is already a winner, it moved and inspired me it helped to make me what I am today, what I believe and what I feel. Alance Bridge this is my entry as the most Beautiful Bridge in the world.

Canal of Dreams featured in The One Great Shot Group 2008. For the longest time I dreamed of a wild adventure in Italy. In April 2008 that dream became an extraordinary reality. With heightened, rich, vibrant colours canal of dreams creates an almost painterly impression of beautiful Venice. Canal of dreams is a personal favourite. Was taken in the Natural Bridge Caverns Va, in November 2008. / Deepest Caverns In The East / The Caverns were opened to the public in 1977. It was originally explored by Col. Henry Parsons in 1889-91, but the natural entrance was too steep for general use. When the modern development took place, some tools, a ladder, a lantern, and rope were found where they had been left in 1891. This bridge lies on the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey. The land on the far side of the photograph is the Asian continent and on the near side of the bridge is the European continent. The bridge acts as a link between the two continents. The lights on the bridge were constantly changing colour. This image features in my calendar “Scenes From the Middle East”

I took this little Gem in Benalla, Australia. / The path less travelled was taken on a cool nights path when evryone, was snug in there home’s. / As the sun goes down the ducks are left alone to frollick in the nights water’s creating a beautifull quite place. . .
