  • This is right before we turned into the bird conservatory. The sunset was just getting good.

  • This is a night view of The Shinnecock Bridge in The Hamlet Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, Long Island, New York. The view here is taking us from the barrier beach (or Dune Road) to the mainland.

  • When the new high cement bridge with columns was built, the old bridge was saved in two parts for the public to fish, picnic and enjoy the views and activity of the waters. I stopped illegally on the top of the new bridge to take this photo, there was slight traffic at that evening hour and I am glad I took the chance of getting a ticket. The bridge is across the Shinnecock Bay but their is a view of The Atlantic Ocean past the barrier beach. Taken in The Hamlet of Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, Long Island, New York, USA.

  • I have always liked the way that the Millennium footbridge across the River Thames in London allows for good silhouettes of people traversing its almost delicate structure. Add to that another spectacular London sunset on this spring-like day as vapour trails criss-cross the sky. Light and line contrast the vertical people against horizontal linear background One of several photographs made on a walk on Saturday 21 February 2009. Buy this photograph for anyone who appreciates the simplicity of a silhouette.

  • Taken in Columbus, OH USA – 2009

  • Dumaresq Bridge connects Dumaresq Island to the Cundletown side of the Manning River. It is a hand held shot taken after sunset. Stars may be seen in the sky above the bridge. A house on the island has it’s lights on. Movement on the water and a slow shot combine to produce trails in the reflected orange light. / Nikon D40x If you like this / Click Here for other Riverscapes / Click Here for other Night photographs / Click Here for other pictures of Dumaresq Island
