Trying something a little different with this shot. Taken at night but modified by increasing the exposure values by a lot. Creates an interesting effect. Sydney has many attractions but, I’m sure, the two most well known are the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Quite a few years back now, I got up very early one morning, braved the cold, setup the camera and took this image. I really like the glow from the light just before the sun came up. Scan from Fujichrome. Have sold as a laminated print to someone on RB. Thank you whoever purchased !

Early one January morning, I got out of bed before dawn and headed in to London and the Thames. I knew where I wanted to get the shot from. I set up the tripod and camera and waited. I hoped the sun would be visible, but had nothing more to base the possibility on other than the sky had been red at sunset the night before. My luck was in!

This bridge lies on the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey. The land on the far side of the photograph is the Asian continent and on the near side of the bridge is the European continent. The bridge acts as a link between the two continents. The lights on the bridge were constantly changing colour. This image features in my calendar “Scenes From the Middle East”

Ok, time to get serious now. This is a bridge across an estuary at South West Rocks, NSW….gorgeous place, lovely scene. We arrived here just on sunset, so had to very quickly find something to photograph…..as we do :) This was shot the next morning, on the way home….
