Taken from Calton Hill looking across to the Bridges and below is Market Street. The very large building is the old Scotsman newspaper buildings but has now been changed into a 5 star hotel. When I first viewed the finished work I was not so sure about it, but then it started to grow on me and gave me the impression of and old vintage style postcard. Since 2006 this image has become a pretty good seller on the stretch canvas.

I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy when I was 19, this was taken as just a naive snap happy photo on my dodgy old-school camera and I’ve cleaned it up and added some oomph in photoshop. (It’s better if you click on the image to see a larger view)

The castle is located in what was once the very volatile border area between England and Scotland. Not only did the English and Scots fight, but the area was frequently attacked by Vikings. The castle was built in 1550, around the time that Lindisfarne Priory went out of use, and stones from the priory were used as building material. It is very small by the usual standards, and was more of a fort. The castle sits on the highest point of the island, a whin stone hill called Beblowe. It can be located in Northumberland,on Holy Island. England.

This old rusty Farmall Tractor has seen better days, it’s not farming much at all these days. Found near Washingtonville, PA on a Covered Bridge Photo Shoot with my folks from Germany (we found six of them that day).
An old boat sitting safely on the shore at Queenscliff in Victoria, Australia. Kept finding myself going back to this boat to take photos, looked so sad sitting by itself. Black and White conversion in Lightroom, HDR in Photomatix.

This shot was taken on the historic Columbia Highway (Oregon) near Latourell Falls. The mosses there are almost fluorescent in the filtered sun of a rainy day and sing a wonderful counterpoint to the stark and strong angularity of the bridge work. What an interesting symphony of angles and curves, softness and solidity. FEATURED in the Live, Love, Dream group / Please visit my bubblesite. Located in War Eagle, Arkansas, this mill was originally burned during the Civil War by Confedarate troops in order to keep the Union Army from taking it as a mainstay. This is still an operational grist mill and has tours daily. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on November 19, 1985
This beautiful piece of history is Australias oldest bridge still in use. Built in 1823, when the town was first settled. The town of Richmond was initially the on the main route from Hobart to Port Arthur. This shot taken in the early evening, about 40 minutes from sunset. The upper clouds just started to change their colour. Richmond Bridge, Richmond, Tasmania, Australia. Canon 50D, 18mm. Available Large, and definately best viewed large!!
In Oughterard, Connemara, you will this bridge in the middle of Owenriff river. It leads to a tiny little island. I have no idea why, since the island is so small there is nothing there, just trees.
