Although they (the City of Sydney) do a great job every year, I think putting a large beating heart on the bridge was one of their best ideas to date. That, and ‘Eternity’. I also like how, if you look along the left of the top of the arch, you can just see the tiny little bridgeclimbers going about their touristy business. Expensive (and you can’t take a camera), but a pretty cool thing to do.

Sydney has many attractions but, I’m sure, the two most well known are the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. I got up very early one morning, braved the cold, setup the camera and took this image. I really like the glow from the light just before the sun came up.

The historic chair was carved out of a rock ledge for Governor Lachlan Macquarie’s wife, Elizabeth, as she was known to visit the area and sit enjoying the panoramic views of the harbour. The point offers a breathtaking view of the harbour with both the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge providing the perfect backdrop for picture taking.

Took a little trip to Sydney this weekend. Dropped the boys with Nan & Pop and I went and did the tourist thing. Would you believe that on Saturday I walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge for the first time! Had to get the major tourist icons in infrared…of course. Exposure: 25sec
