a skip at dusk near the westgate bridge, melbourne, australia /
Webb Bridge is down-to-earth, a project Melbourne can be proud of, built among the superannuated towers of Docklands. It suggests, romantically, the fishing nets, cages, middens and naughty hosiery of the old wharfs. It is biological and ethereal, a stab in the dark and sculptural.

I was intending to capture the light trails from the double decker bus all the way through the image – but my timing was a little off – I perhaps should have gone for a small aperture/longer shutter speed. Still, I like the effect of it ending in the middle of nowhere – it gives me the impression of “Back to the Future” – but in a double decker!
Two famous Australian icons: the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. This was a 30 second exposure shot from down near Mrs Macquarie’s Point. Shot at 40mm; f/10; 30sec; ISO100

A stroll into London with my best mate to clear our heads from uni work! One of the shots I captured on our little adventure. There’s a bit of contrast, saturation etc work done to it. There’s some changes i want to make but it’ll do for now :) Taken with a basic Kodak digital camera. I used some selective colour for this one…adjusted the contrast in certain areas (such as on the pavement so as to make the illumination of the lights stand out more).
The Newcastle and Gateshead Millennium Bridge (UK) with The Sage Music venue and The Tyne Bridge in the background. / This was one of a series of pics I took on first night shoot, I’d only had the camera a week or so and I’m really, really pleased with how this has turned out. Lake of Two Mountains, in the village of Oka Quebec, CANADA,taken on Saturday March 21st 2009 with Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens. / The tracks you see carved into the ice in the foreground are made by the cars that pass daily on the “ice bridge” from one side of the shore to the other. This ice roadway is maintained by a private company, has been 100 years in existence and no accidents have ever happened. However, the day that we were there, we noted during the afternoon that several pools of water had emerged over top the ice in some places and we presume that was the last weekend of using the passage over the lake to get to the other side. Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. A mellow evening on the River Arno in Florence. / October 2008.
From under the Burrard Street Bridge, this is False Creek in Vancouver BC Canada. I’ve taken many shots from the dock side before (other shore), but this time I wanted it to be about the harbour, rather than the bridge as a focal point. / This is my first work using PhotmatixPro3 to render HDR from 3 exposures. / Thank you for your views & comments.
