  • A famous spot in past times, immortalised by Burns (in poetry) and Turner (in watercolour). Now just a quiet backwater.

  • A tribute to Beatles.

  • I was fortunate enough to travel to Italy when I was 19, this was taken as just a naive snap happy photo on my dodgy old-school camera and I’ve cleaned it up and added some oomph in photoshop. (It’s better if you click on the image to see a larger view)

  • I met a fellow RedBubbler, Adam Mattel yesterday and we did a photo shoot together. It was a very enjoyable morning and a pleasure to meet a member that lives nearby. This is one the images captured along the Susquehanna river at Harrisburg, PA. This site was settled due to the founder Harris operating a ferry across the river. This has been my most popular image to date. It has been viewed over 900 times and is a favorite for 46 members of RB.

  • Amongst the forest of Coed y Brenin in Mid Wales, nestles this ancient bridge. There are remains of an old mine works to the left, but to the right, a goldmine still exsists, which supplies gold to royalty …..... / . / Copyright 2008 Richie Dean Coed y Brenin is near Dolgellau, Gwynedd, Snowdonia, Wales UK. / Snowdonia National park / The image has been worked in Photoshop CS3 and Painter X

  • This is another magical area of North Wales ….. Coed y Brenin ….. I have used Painter X to render the image, it has the fullest range of ’ natural ’ brushes and if used with a graphics tablet the transition from orthodox to digital painting is painless, with the added bonus, you can ’ fiddle ’ with the end painting with the knowledge that if you go too far, you can remove it. / As a former traditional artist, I thoroughly recommend ’ Corel Painter ‘ / Final ’ tweaks ’ were made in Photoshop …... • Lt. General Wade’s Bridge at Aberfeldy in the Breadalbane region of Highland Perthshire (Breadalbane means “Highland Scotland” in Gaelic). Shot taken on Saturday 20th December 08 in the middle of our winter. Designed by William Adam, Scotland’s best architect. The total cost was £3,596 or, in today’s terms, over £1m. ”... a freestone bridge over the Tay, of five arches, nearly 400ft. in length, the middle arch 60 feet wide, the starlings of oak and the piers and landbreasts founded on piles shod with iron….” (House of Commons Journal, 7th February 1734). The bridge was first opened to traffic at the end of October 1733. Wade regarded it the greatest of his considerable achievements in road-making. In 9 years he had personally supervised the construction of over 250 miles of military roads in the Highlands – the first engineered roads in Britain since Roman times. lt is now the only one of Wade’s 35 major bridges to remain in use as a public highway. Built for 18th century wheeled carriages, it survives to the 21st century as a great memorial to a great roadbuilding engineer. Wade’s Bridge is a Category A listed structure of historic importance (HB Number 20861) under the care of Historic Scotland. The River Tay, Scotland longest river, meanders across Scotland from Loch Tay before flowing out to sea at the Firth of Tay. • In a sleepy hollow below the little Dartmoor village of Walkhampton, the River Walkham makes it way off the high moor ground with the ancient stone Huckworthy Bridge crossing it next to the former Post Office. A little known part of the moors to tourists and so peaceful, I often enjoy a walk down from the village along the riverside to escape the many visitors who at times overcrowd the moors.
