    When I was in Catholic high school, I had an elderly nun who told me a story / that when she was a young girl she went to a dance and someone asked her / to dance as she was walking to the dance floor she looked down and he had / hooves…knowing he was the devil…she turned away and when she looked / back he disappeared..Of course today I realize it was a metaphor..but then / I took it very seriously and checked out feet all the time…So this poem is / dedicated to sweet Sister Gabrielle..

    This is an excerpt from my second book, I wrote this after going to divorce court the final time. I guess I was taken back by the fact that my now ex-wife told the judge she thought we’d be getting back together? It was as though she had forgotten her many infidelities and was somehow surprised to find herself being divorced. / This of course makes me ponder the reaction of the bride of Christ, on judgement day? Thanks for the reminder Liz, but for your poem I would never had remembered this one!
