History of Red Star / History In 1910 when this train station was built, there were two breweries in Greensburg. They soon became casualties of prohibition, closing in 1920 at the onset of a 13-year dry spell for thirsty beer lovers everywhere. When prohibition was repealed in 1933 and beer drinkers throughout the land could rejoice, alas, the breweries in Greensburg were unable to reopen. At the turn of the century, small Bavarian towns had breweries that were also restaurants and taverns. It was a special occasion when an establishment’s beer was ready to be served. In order for the brewer to advertise that his beer was ready to drink, he would hang a red star outside the door. Back then, a red star meant the beer was fresh, the food was plentiful, and the people celebrated. The Red Star Brewery and Grille is located at the Historic Train Station in Greensburg PA. The train station itself is still in operation since opening in 1910. The Brewery itself sits where the old ticket booth used to be.
Cascade Brewry, Australias oldest brewery, and just a few doors down from my place. I was out for a walk and found it spookily red, so i went and grabbed my camera.
I have been wanting to photography the Old Swan Brewery for a while now, especially in autumn with the colour in the trees. I took this in the morning before a breakfast that was held there. The brewery is now a collection of function centres, apartments and restaurants. Beautifully restored, it is a great location 2 minutes from Perth city along Riverside Drive. I would have preferred more still water, but as I drive past this everyday, I’ll look out for it next time.

This old distillery piece is inside the National College of Art, James St, Dublin, just near Christchurch. / It was an original part of the Guiness Brewery.
I liked this photo because it is so Ye Olde. You can see the brewery and Mt Wellington in Tasmania.
Harveys Brewery (Harvey & Son (Lewes) Ltd.) is a brewery situated in Lewes, in the county of East Sussex, England. As of 2008, Harvey’s estate includes 50 tied houses, almost all in East Sussex and neighbouring counties. It distributes its main product Harveys Best, a bitter, to many more pubs in that area. It was under the management of John Harvey (1784-1862) that the Bridge Wharf Brewery was established on its present site by the River Ouse, overlooking Cliffe Bridge, Lewes. / / In 1880 part of the original Georgian brewery was rebuilt, the Tower and Brew House, dominates the scene from Cliffe Bridge. This is a beautiful example of a country brewery in Victorian era Gothic Design. Behind it stands the other half of the brewery, the Georgian fermenting room, cellars and Vat House. The fermenting room and cellars structurally have remained unchanged although they now house modern plant and equipment. The same applies to the Brew House, but the Vat House has now been converted into a modern bottling hall. In 1984 a second brewing line was completed, doubling the production capacity from 25,000 to 50,000 barrels a year. The building for this new plant has been added in front of the Tower in a similar Gothic style, right down to the arched ironwork window. Today, Harveys remains an independent, family company — Harvey & Son (Lewes) Ltd — with a seventh generation of John Harvey’s descendants involved in its affairs. source: Harvey & Son – Wikipedia 2009/11/29 – 106 views
Oyster Brewery The Oyster Brewery in the small village of Ellenabeich is another pearl from the Isle of Seil, off the west coast of Scotland, 15 miles south of Oban. The brewery was founded in November 2004 and the first brews followed in the spring of the following year. Ales brewed on the premises include ‘Easd’ Ale’, ‘Red Pearl’, and ‘Oyster Gold’. The restaurant also serves great food! Date: 21st August 2008 Click here to see The Bridge Over The Atlantic

The historic brewery was built in 1865 while Beechworth was at the height of the Gold Rush. The original owner was George Billson, hence the name on the building of “Billsons Brewery”, however over the next 50 years it underwent a number of name changes until 1916 when the current name of Murray Breweries was established. The site was chosen because a natural spring occurred here and the pure water has been used in all of the beverages to this day, known now as Snowline Pure Mountain Spring Water. During the 1920’s due to the intervention of a temperance group the production of beer ceased, although Stout continued to be made for another 30 years. It was at this time a soft drink and cordial factory was started. Today we specialise in turn of the century gourmet cordial mixers of long forgotten flavours made to time honoured recipes and methods. / Visit: http://www.murraybreweries.com.au/

Taken during a tour of the Wychwood Brewery in Witney, this is a glass full of the hops they use – they were getting a bit dried out! Mind, the finished goods were pretty darn good… Used in brewing beer
This bench would have been great to sit on except it had gotten wet from the sprinkling system. There was another bench across from it. It was very peaceful and serene, seemed like a perfect place to sit and chat. This was taken at Schell’s Brewery in New Ulm, MN

The Cascade Brewery is Australia’s oldest Brewery and was founded in 1824 by Peter Degraves. On 7 February 1967 bushfires destroyed much of the brewery complex but rebuilding work commenced quickly keeping the original facade. It is located in South Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. In recent years a mini version of the famed Treetop walk has been built in Perth’s Kings Park. Known as the Federation Walkway it mingles with the upper branches of many of the large trees and also affords the most spectacular river and city views. This is one such view, looking down over the former Swan Brewery and across the Narrows Bridge to the City, along the south bank of which flows the lovely Swan River which comes down from those distant hills of the Darling Range. / Camera Sony DSC R1 / f8 @ 1/125 second / hand held
