its a plumbago :)))))) from my garden.. woot !. I kinda like this setting.. tons and tons of light :)))) these grow in my garden, and the more I cut them back, the stronger they come in .. / so hearty, yet they are soft and delicate feeling :)

In 2007, wildfires surrounded us. The air was thick and grey with smoke. It was so hot and so dry, we longed for a cool breeze, and clear air. This scene wasn’t outside my door, but it was inside my mind, so I painted it and pretended I was there watching them! This watercolor is painted on matboard, covered with many layers of gesso, and painted with Windsor and Newton watercolors. I like painting on this surface much better than using watercolor paper. Original size, 8.5X10.
