Explanatory and offensive, all in one. / 20/09/08 – a newer and more aggressive version, rendered in Take No Prisoners again. I rather like its aggressively scribbly style. Perhaps because I’m something of an aggressive scribbler myself when the spirit takes hold of me.

It was so heartwarming to watch Mr. and Mrs. Wren get the nursery ready in preparation for their babies. They worked diligently side by side for weeks until their family was complete. I thought this photo would make a good greeting card for a couple who just found out they’re pregnant and want to sing it out to the world.

Greyhound racing is the sport of racing greyhounds. The dogs chase a lure (an artificial hare or rabbit) on a track until they arrive at the finish line. The one that arrives first is the winner. / In many countries, greyhound racing is purely amateur and conducted for enjoyment. In other countries (particularly the UK, US, Ireland and Australia), greyhound racing is a popular form of gambling, similar to horse racing. / (wikipedia.org)

Daddy Bluebird looks weary during these dog days of summer. He and Mama are feeding and caring for brood number three of the mating season, and I think they are pretty bedraggled by now. Here is Daddy with one more cricket for one more hungry mouth! What a champ he is!

This is one of my favorite photographs of my dog Molly, a red and / white Irish Setter. One of my great joys is looking into her / deep and soulful eyes. She has the rare capacity to make us laugh / simply by viewing her various expressions. Her feelings and / reactions are on the surface and Molly appears to not possess any awareness of why we can’t restrain ourselves from laughing as / we delight in her pure innocence. To appreciate this stunning / member of our family, please view this photo in the larger format. / This photo was taken with a Macro lens.
The English bred lab comes from English bred stock. Their general appearance is different. The English bred labs are heavier, thicker and blockier. The American bred Lab comes from American bred stock and is tall and lanky. The Labrador Retriever is a solid, muscular dog, slightly longer than tall, with a short, hard, easy-care, water-resistant double coat that does not have any waves and comes in solid black, yellow, or chocolate. Interesting fact: Some of their talents include: hunting, tracking, retrieving, watchdog, police work, narcotics detection, guide for the blind, service dog for the disabled, search and rescue, sledding, carting, agility, and competitive obedience. Jasper and Roxi play in the shallow waters of Lake Mulwala. Roxi is a Bull Arab (Australian bred pig hunting dog). / Jasper is a Hungarian Visla (pedigree water gun dog). Roxi is 13 months and Jasper is 12 months. / They have grown up together since young puppies, are best friends and love eachother and pretty much everybody around them. They love a good play and will play until the sun goes down. Whilst they are at either ends of extremeties when it comes down to personalities, it’s their differences which make them compliment eachother in every way. Mulwala, New South Wales, Australia. July 2009.
This is our new little lady. She is a lab/mix, she was found running down a highway. Someone must have just dumped her. She is a very sweet girl, right now she is under weight. She does not seem to like the snow and cold. The coat she has on is really to large for her, but right now this is all we have to put on her. So we told her we will get her something that fits her. We are fostering her now to see how Harley and her get along. So far Harley is being very patient with her. Kay and I said, once the paws come in the door, she is not going anywhere. Right now we are calling her Rosie, might change, or not. Photos right now are not easy to get, she sticks like glue to you. Featured in the Paws and Claws Group – 12/30/09
