Inspired by the religious art of my visit to Italy in December 2007, i was compelled to create the depiction of the spiritual battle that is happening in our world… every second of every day. Someone is in a battle manifested in countless forms. But there is life and with life there is always hope. ‘The Battle’ is symbolic of the journey and the challenges faced to reach freedom. After we have fought the good fight there will be victory and as we fall to our knees, we are drawn to the One… who has saved us. Take the messages as they come to you. The aim was to create a universal piece of art that speaks the language of the heart. This vector artwork is currently not for sale but if you are interested i’d love to hear from you.

Though this is far from a true B&W image, I thought the title was well suited. This original capture was in color, shot of Mount Shasta in Northern CA in September, 2007…...inverted and the data converted to B&W…..some final editing was done for the finished effect. A famous bamboo grove just outside of Kyoto. Its a magical place where you feel like you are stepping into some mythical dell. Normal light loses its traditional meaning here and the interplay between the bamboo and light is delightful. You can really lose yourself in the scene…

White Peacock….We went to the Fountain of Youth , Located in St. Augustine Florida and saw this beautiful peacock. I had never seen a White peacock with his tail open. / It is truly breathtaking…....

Featured in Canadiana – September 20, 2009 This is a scene from atop “The Dome” which is a site at the top of a mountain road that winds up to the Dome overlooking Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. Dawson City had to be my very favorite place in the Yukon. This was my first chance to not see the sun set. It was daylight all night long for 23.5 hours at the time we were in Dawson. I wanted to see the “sunset” at 12 midnight, which didn’t happen. We were out till 1:30 that morning enjoying the photography. The longest day (June 21) was just about there since we were in Dawson on June 16, 2009. In the valley you can see the Yukon River which winds it’s way through Dawson City. / / / Canon EOS Rebel XTi / F/9 / 80mm / 1/250 / ISO 400 / 181 views as of November 15, 2009
