This was something i came up with after listening to my male friends woe.. It would always make them laugh! Funny but somehow so true.. :P Always thought it would make a good t-shirt.. so here it is :)
The city can be a dark and lonely place for some, I thank my lucky stars that I’m not one… This concept came to me one morning just after waking up. This is when most of my ideas and imagery come to me. I’ve worn back the edges to further skew the image.

WARNING : WARPED SENSE OF HUMOUR !!! Another drawing from the distant past.. I’m sure we have all had bad news by letter at some stage or other. So if you need to end a relationship.. or any other nasty piece of work and you haven’t got the bottle to do it face to face.. here’s the perfect “greetings” card for you ! Please contact Dave Edwards for accompanying music. Another influence for this work was the “explosion/disaster” movies of the 1970’s..there were an number of films around at that time that involved blowing things up. The most notable being Zabriski Point) and Closely Observed Trains /

Let me know if you want this with different text!! Divorce/separation card? Community property card? Getting fired card? Lay-off card? Everybody-knows-you-don’t-like-your-roommate card? Yep, that’s me in the wagon. Edited in Photoshop Elements 3. /
Today’s hike on windswept snow in part of the Chugach mountain range, Alaska, overlapping state and national parks. Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams featured – Thank you! Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 18-70 at 18mm at f/9 and 1/1250 sec, -.3ev. Using a circular polarizing filter. / Converted from RAW to jpeg using Capture NX2. Light curve added. Otherwise, as is. Constructive comments welcomed, i.e., too much foreground, foreground too angled? Not enough interest unless one is there in the wind and cold air, breathing in nature and silence? Okay to comment; I have 6GBs of shots remaining.

I asked Kaedi to depict someone going through a series of emotional states – not an easy shoot brief. The title is from one of my favourite authors, Carson McCullers. Was it six months ago, when you tried to call and she didn’t pick up the phone, though you knew she was home… or was it last month, when your friend said he drove past that little bistro in the next town, on a week day… and thought he saw her having coffee with someone else…. ...when was the beginning of the end? This is a 16 photograph sequence so rather than flooding you Watchlist I’ve put them all in the comments section of this one photo if that makes sense. This is actually my son’s first photoshoot. For a film theory uni assignment he had to storyboard a sequence of 16 photographs that tell a story. Of course he left it to the last minute so I get an emergency call a few days before the assignment “Dad I need you to act in a photoshoot for me, oh and teach me how to use an SLR – I’ve built the scenario around you”. Well I was flattered until he told me the scenariio: This “really old guy” (aren’t kids delightful) is a sugar daddy and he’s decided to give his chick the flick. She can’t see it coming and is really looking forward to seeing him.” So I gave him a 5-minute crash course in using an SLR (he’d never picked one up before) including Depth of Field. And this is what the little bastard came up with on his first ever use of an SLR. He directed this and took the pics. I lit it and acted in it (yep that’s my ugly mug in the shots) and he got one his friends to act the girl (I think she did an amazing job!). We had a ball but i’ve gotta say first ever shoot and he does this ??!! Jealous, moi!! Never. But no way is he ever getting his hands on my camera again!
